Abstract:
A lighting apparatus for a high-pressure discharge lamp that has an electric discharge container made of quartz glass, and containing a pair of counter electrodes and a power supply unit that supplies AC current to the high-pressure discharge lamp. The power supply unit has a stationary power lighting mode and a modulated power lighting mode that supplies current having power less than power in the stationary power lighting mode. The modulated power lighting mode supplies a rectangular AC current having a first term and a second term. A mean high-frequency current value supplied to a first electrode is greater than a mean current value supplied to a second electrode in the first term. A current is supplied to the second electrode for a term longer than the half-cycle period in the second term, the current being lower than the mean high-frequency current value supplied to the first electrode.

The paste comprises: a solid polyelectrolyte (A) consisting of a block copolymer containing; a polymer block (a-1) which is represented by chemical formula (1) and a polymer block (a-2) which has substantially no ionic group and is rubbery at room temperature; an organic solvent (B) having a boiling point at 150° C. or higher; and non-dissociable particles (C) which are insoluble in the organic solvent (B) and have a major-axis length of 1-100 μm and an aspect ratio of 5 or less. The polymer transducer comprises an electrolyte film and a pair of electrode films between which the electrolyte film is sandwiched, wherein the electrolyte film or the pair of electrode films has been formed by drying and solidifying the paste into a film shape.

A communication module includes a plurality of duplexers, wherein at least either IDT electrodes of transmit filters of at least two of the plurality of duplexers having a different transmit band or IDT electrodes of receive filters of at least two of the plurality of duplexers having a different receive band are composed of a same material, have a same thickness and are provided on a single piezoelectric substrate.
Abstract:
In a discharge lamp lighting apparatus comprising a short arc type discharge lamp and a power supply unit, a relation of the natural frequency fe (Hz) of the electrodes, the ripple frequency fd (Hz) of the alternating current that is supplied to the discharge lamp, and the ripple power Pr (W) of the alternating current, satisfies a formula: Pr ≤ f e - f d · ( - 0.13 × Vh Va + 3.0 ) , wherein the volume of the electrode head portion is represented as Vh and the volume of the segment of the electrode axis portion that projects into the arc tube is represented as Va. When the alternating current supplied to the discharge lamp satisfies the formula, it is possible to prevent or control damage in the electrode axis portion, since vibration produced in the electrodes during lighting of the discharge lamp is small even if the discharge lamp is lighted for a long time.
Abstract:
An extra-high pressure mercury lamp includes an arc tube made of quartz glass. The lamp includes an arc tube portion and sealing portions connected to the arc tube portion, and encloses 0.15 mg/mm3 or more of mercury. A pair of electrodes are disposed face to face in the arc tube. Each electrode has a rod portion and a base end portion. The base end portion of each electrode is embedded in one of the sealing portions. One of the pair of electrodes serves as a cathode and includes a head portion, which has a larger diameter than the rod portion. A cylinder portion is connected to a rear end portion of the head portion. The cylinder portion extends in the axis direction of the electrode and surrounds the rod portion. The cylinder portion has an inner surface separated from the rod portion.
Abstract:
A first energy ratio A/B of a first alternating current of a steady frequency supplied to a lamp is set to a value C, when the lamp is horizontally placed. A second alternating current of a lower frequency, whose second energy ratio A/B is set to the value C, is inserted. When the lamp is vertically placed, a first energy ratio A′/B′ is set to the value C or a value D, which is smaller than the value C. A second ratio A′/B′ is set to the value D or a value E, which is lower than the value C. A and A′ each represents an energy that flows from a first electrode of a pair of electrodes of the lamp to a second electrode of the pair. B and B′ each represents an energy that flows from the second electrode to the first electrode.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cytotoxic composition that contains, as an active ingredient, an IgG antibody produced in eggs of a transgenic avian with a gene encoding the IgG antibody. The IgG antibody is expected to produce high anti-tumor effects with less side-effects because this antibody has higher CDC activity than that of the corresponding CHO cell-derived IgG antibody and its primary protein structure is not altered. The present invention also provides an agent for ameliorating or treating a cancer and an agent for treating an autoimmune disease, which contain the cytotoxic composition.
Abstract:
An information retrieval apparatus includes contents, an index data generating unit, a character frequency management data generating unit, a compressing/encrypting unit, a retrieval initializing unit, a full text retrieving unit, and a retrieval result displaying unit. The character frequency management data generating unit generates character frequency management data based on the contents. The compressing/encrypting unit compresses the contents and encrypts the character frequency management data. The retrieval initializing unit decrypts encrypted character frequency management data. The full text retrieving unit executes full text retrieval for compressed contents using the character frequency management data and index data when receiving a retrieval keyword. The retrieval result displaying unit decompresses a retrieval candidate selected from retrieval candidates and displays as a retrieval result.
