Abstract: The present disclosure provides for enhanced pipeline processing using different timing characteristics for aggregated carriers. A receiving device may receive a first component carrier and a second component carrier from a transmitting device during a subframe including a first set of symbols on the first component carrier and a second set of symbols on the second component carrier. The first component carrier may be a priority component carrier having a different timing characteristic than the second component carrier. The receiving device may process, using a hardware processing pipeline, the first set of symbols interleaved with the second set of symbols. The receiving device may transmit an acknowledgment, within the subframe, based on the processing of at least all of the first set of symbols.

Abstract: In an embodiment, to avoid a misalignment between NCP and ECP symbols caused by an SCS, at least a portion of a CP of at least one ECP symbol is punctured, and at least one startpoint of at least one ECP slot carrying the at least one punctured ECP symbol is aligned with at least one startpoint of at least one NCP slot carrying at least one NCP symbol. In another embodiment, a symbol control channel is scheduled within an initial control part of a slot before any other symbols are scheduled, and NCP symbols and ECP symbols are scheduled in a remaining data part of the slot that is after the initial control part. In another embodiment, either endpoints or startpoints of NCP and ECP uplink symbols are aligned by extending the ECP uplink symbol or an ECP guard period.

An access network controller may select, while a (UE) is currently served by a first transmit/receive point (TRP), a second TRP to serve the UE, configure the first TRP to transmit a first keep alive (KA) signal, in response to a chirp signal received from the UE, and configure the second TRP to transmit a second KA signal after the first KA signal transmitted by the first TRP.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that adapts a numerology including a subcarrier spacing and/or cyclic prefix for a user equipment (UE) traveling at a high speed. A base station may transmit via a plurality of remote radio heads (RRH) to a user equipment (UE) is moving along a high speed track. The base station may transmit, in a first time period, using a first numerology including a first subcarrier spacing and a first cyclic prefix ratio, a first transmission for the UE. The base station may transmit, in a subsequent time period, using a second numerology including a second subcarrier spacing and a second cyclic prefix ratio, a second transmission for the UE. At least one of the second subcarrier spacing is different than the first subcarrier spacing or the second cyclic prefix ratio is different than the first cyclic prefix ratio.
