Abstract:
Rehabilitation exercising equipment includes a main frame, a first geared member rotatably mounted on the main frame, a second geared member rotatably mounted on the main frame, a connecting mechanism mounted between the first geared member and the second geared member to connect the first geared member and the second geared member so that the first geared member and the second geared member are movable in concert with each other, and two handlebars secured on the first geared member and the second geared member to rotate in concert with the first geared member and the second geared member respectively. Thus, a user's two hands can hold the handlebars to pivot the two handlebars in two opposite directions by connection of the connecting mechanism so as to achieve an exercising or rehabilitating function.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method of improving the efficiency of lymphatic and venous circulation of the lower body using a seat cushion composed of breathable open celled polyurethane fabric with strips of dense foam to provide compression with constant shear force to interstitial tissue. The strips of dense foam apply a shear force onto the interstitial tissue, which positively affects the thixotropic properties of the interstitial fluid in the congested fibrotic tissue and thereby decreases the viscosity of the interstitial fluid over time. The strips of the dense foam are designed in such a pattern that channels interstitial fluid away from the dorsolateral and dorsomedial lymphatic territory of the thigh to the lymphatic capillary network on the lateral border of the thigh and lower lymph quadrant of the trunk.
Abstract:
A walking assistance device has a drive mechanism for driving a third joint of a leg link of the walking assistance device, the drive mechanism including a crank arm secured to a lower link member and a linear-motion actuator which has a linear-motion output shaft connected to the crank arm. The angle formed by a straight line connecting a joint axis of the third joint and a connecting portion of the linear-motion output shaft relative to the crank arm and a straight line which passes the connecting portion and which is parallel to the axial center of the linear-motion output shaft changes from an angle closer to the straight angle toward an angle closer to the right angle as the flexion degree of the leg link is increased from a flexion degree corresponding to a state wherein a user is in an upright posture.
Abstract:
There is provided a wheel mounting assembly having a wheel fork. The fork includes an interior and an inwardly extending protrusion disposed within the interior. The assembly includes a rotatable member operatively connected to the fork and disposed within the interior of the fork. The protrusion abuts and positions in place the rotatable member. The assembly includes a shaft. The rotatable member rotatably connects the shaft to the wheel fork. The assembly includes a retaining member connected to the shaft. The retaining member is configured to abut the protrusion of the fork and thus inhibit dislodgement of the rotatable member from the fork when the shaft is tilted relative to the fork.
Abstract:
Apparatus for disabled persons, comprising a skid which optionally may be equipped with wheels, to which skid is connected a device for tightening the user's knees.
Abstract:
A motor control device includes: a coil temperature detection unit which detects a coil temperature of a motor; an upper limit current determination unit which determines an upper limit value of a coil current in which a coil temperature after a lapse of a first predetermined time from the present is maintained at an upper limit temperature or lower, every time a second predetermined time shorter than the first predetermined time elapses, by using a coil temperature detected by the coil temperature detection unit; and a coil current control unit which controls the coil current so as to be equal to or lower than the upper limit value.
Abstract:
A rollator is disclosed in this invention. The rollator includes: a base frame; front wheel assemblies and rear wheel assemblies respectively mounted on both sides of the base frame; an inverted U-shaped supporting pipe; a H-shaped armrest bracket; connection pieces having block grooves thereon; a slide control lever for cooperating with the block grooves; a seat plate; a spring element; wherein the base frame is provided with unidirectional hinged seats; both bottom ends of the supporting pipe are hinged to the base frame, and both side arms of the supporting pipe are provided with slide holes facing each other; the armrest bracket has bottom portions hinged to the unidirectional hinged seat. The rollator has a simple structure and can be used for various situations in both folded and unfolded state.
Abstract:
A walking aid has a safety assembly installed on a main frame for helping a brake assembly stop a rotation of a wheel set thereof. Namely, by means of a brake handle of the brake assembly being secured by the safety assembly, the wheel set is firmly fixed to prevent the walking aid from instability in case of any unintentional collision.
Abstract:
A massage machine that can stably rock a chair main body in a forward-backward direction and that has minimal overall height comprising a chair main body, a base which supports the chair main body, massage portions provided in the chair main body, and a rocking mechanism portion which rocks the chair main body in the forward-backward direction with respect to the base. The rocking mechanism portion includes link members, each of which has a lower portion pivotally supported by the base and an upper portion pivotally supporting the chair main body. The chair main body is rocked in the forward-backward direction by rocking the upper portions of the link members in the forward-backward direction.
Abstract:
A mobility device for people who need assisted mobility comprising side support structures for supporting the weight of an occupant in a semi seated position, a back rest structure, a shin rest structure and an arm rest structure. The mobility device of the present invention provides a rear access which is feasible by moving outwardly and upwardly the side support structures.
