Abstract: In some embodiments, methods and systems of pollinating crops include one or more unmanned vehicles including a pollen applicator configured to collect pollen from a flower of a first crop and to apply the pollen collected from the flower of the first crop onto a flower of a second crop and a sensor configured to detect presence of the pollen applied to the flower of the second crop by the pollen applicator to verify that the pollen collected from the flower of the first crop by the pollen applicator was successfully applied by the pollen applicator onto the flower of the second crop.

Abstract: A method of using a set of earpieces to enable a drone delivery includes determining by a drone a position of a user of the set of earpieces, determining by the set of earpieces a position of the drone relative to the set of the earpieces, electronically communicating delivery information from the drone to the set of the earpieces, generating audio messages at the set of the earpieces based on the delivery information from the drone and the position of the drone relative to the set of the earpieces, and conveying by the drone a payload from the drone to the user of the set of earpieces. The set of earpiece includes a left earpiece and a right earpiece wherein each of the left earpiece and the right earpiece comprises an earpiece housing, a speaker, a microphone, a processor, a transceiver, and an inertial sensor.

Abstract: A parcel receiving system for receiving a package preferably delivered by a drone to an automated parcel box positioned adjacent an opening in the building. It has an extendable platform adapted to extend out of opening 8 and receive package. A controller communicates with an external device to receive an unlocking code from the delivery company. When a drone carrying the package gets close to the target location, it sends a code to the controller. If the codes match, it extends a platform to receive the package, retracts the platform moving package into a secure holding area, until a user provide the proper authentication to open the secure holding area to take the package. Holding area may be cooled or heated as required to properly hold the package. Parcel receiving system may also communicate with a smartphone to indicate that a package was been received, or provide pictures/video of the package.

Abstract: A modular Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) has first and second flight configurations, and includes an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) parent module and a plurality of UAV child modules. The parent module may have a fuselage, forward and aft wings connected to the fuselage, and a first plurality of flight propulsion devices. The child modules have a corresponding second plurality of flight propulsion devices. Each child module docks wingtip-to-wingtip with the parent module or an adjacent edge of a child module using the docking mechanisms. The child modules undock and separate from the forward wing and each other, and achieve controlled flight independently of the parent module while in the second flight configuration. A method for controlling the modular UAS is also disclosed.

Abstract: Aerial vehicles may be operated with discrete sets of propellers, which may be selected for a specific purpose or on a specific basis. The discrete sets of propellers may be operated separately or in tandem with one another, and at varying power levels. For example, a set of propellers may be selected to optimize the thrust, lift, maneuverability or efficiency of an aerial vehicle based on a position or other operational characteristic of the aerial vehicle, or an environmental condition encountered by the aerial vehicle. At least one of the propellers may be statically or dynamically imbalanced, such that the propeller emits a predetermined sound during operation. A balanced propeller may be specifically modified to cause the aerial vehicle to emit the predetermined sound by changing one or more parameters of the balanced propeller and causing the balanced propeller to be statically or dynamically imbalanced.
