Abstract:
A wallboard tape having a base layer of paper tape having two parallel outer edges and two strips of paper tape applied to the base layer and parallel to the outer edges with an adhesive material. The strips are separated by a gap.
Abstract:
A laminated construction tape for use as balcony flashing tape, flashing for roofing joints, foundation flashing, step flashing under siding, balcony and breezeway flashing, and the like, the laminated construction tape includes a flexible, spun bonded polyester strip and a first layer of adhesive longitudinally extending along and covering a central strip of the spun bonded strip. A layer of reinforcing polyester yarns is bonded to the spun boned strip by the first layer of adhesive. A second layer of adhesive is applied to the spun bonded strip and is coextensive with the strip and covers the layer of reinforcing as well as the edges of the spun bonded strip on each side of the band of polyester yarns which have a combined width of approximately greater than twenty five percent and less than fifty percent of the overall width of the construction tape. A release strip is applied over the second layer of adhesive and is removable for application of the laminated construction tape to a building junction site.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an adhesive article which provides air egress. Air egress is provided by supplying a route, such as areas of no initial adhesion for the air to flow out from under the construction. The invention relates to an adhesive article comprising a facestock having a front surface and a back surface, a continuous layer of adhesive having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the back surface of the facestock, and a plurality of spaced-apart non-adhesive material which is in contact with the lower surface of the adhesive layer. These articles have usefulness as industrial graphics images, as well as decorative coverings, etc. The articles provide air egress and optionally repositionability and slideability.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for battery, which includes a substrate and a pressure-sensitive adhesive applied on at least one surface of the substrate, in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied on a part of the substrate, and in which either one of a portion at which the pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied and a portion at which the pressure-sensitive adhesive is not applied has a degree of haze of more than 15%, and the other one of said portions has a degree of haze of 15% or less.
Abstract:
A self-adhesive ventilating modified bituminous roofing composite in which the release liner is printed with a transfer chemical such that upon removal of the release liner, the adhesive portion of the membrane is rendered non-adhesive in a pattern that provides ventilation pathways that allow for the lateral escape of pressure or latent moisture once the substrate is affixed to the roofing surface, thereby extending the life of the roofing system.
Abstract:
A superstrong adhesive tape that in a strongly viscous structure simultaneously having an adhesive function and an adsorptive function, realizes an enhanced bonding strength. There is provided a super-strong adhesive tape comprising plastic foam material (2) having holes (20) opening on its adhesion-object side; and adhesive agent layer (3) fitted on the adhesion-object side of the plastic foam material (2) so as to form depressed portions (30) at positions corresponding to the holes (20). The depressed portions (30) are deformed into a nearly planar configuration in conformity with any compressive deformation of the plastic foam material (2), and exert an adsorptive function in accordance with the elastic recovery of the plastic foam material (2).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing two different patterned adhesive layers simultaneously, and a wound dressing comprising both the adhesive layers.
Abstract:
The invention provides an adhesive tape comprising a tape-like support base and a tape-like adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer is formed on the main side of the support base and the width of the support base is longer than the width of the adhesive layer. According to the invention, seepage of adhesive components in the adhesive layer of the adhesive tape in the widthwise direction from the sides of the support base can be reduced compared to the prior art.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adhesive layer for a bubble-free adhesive bond, the adhesive layer being formed from an adhesive and there being at least one channel made in the surface of the adhesive, characterized in that the adhesive has expanded, and also to a method of producing a sheet-like structure that bonds without bubbles, wherein an adhesive is applied as an adhesive layer to a functional layer and wherein at least one channel is made in the surface of the adhesive, characterized in that the adhesive is expanded.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an overlaminating adhesive film comprising a transparent film, an adhesive layer and a release material successively laminated in this order, wherein said release material has a surface contacting with the adhesive layer, said surface having a centerline average surface roughness of 0.5 μm or lower; an adhesive forming said adhesive layer has a pH of 7.2 to 8.5 in a solution state before applied, and is an acrylic emulsion-type adhesive having an average particle size of 200 nm or smaller; and a monomer component used for production of said adhesive includes an alkoxysilane group-containing unsaturated monomer in which each alkoxy group has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, but includes no hydroxy-containing unsaturated monomer. The overlaminating adhesive film of the present invention exhibits a good water resistance and is free from deterioration in its transparency due to lifting or bubbles when laminated on an adherend.
