Abstract:
at least one self oscillating loop circuit which oscillates with a switching frequency (fs), wherein the self oscillating loop circuit (18, 19, 20) comprises an output driver (19) which is switched with said switching frequency and a loop filter (20) which feeds back an amplified loop signal output by said driver (19) to an input of said self oscillating loop and a trimming circuit (21) for trimming the switching frequency (fs) of said self oscillating loop circuit.
Abstract:
An exemplary computing system may receive a first request from a first voice-communication device to establish a secure-voice-communication session with a second voice-communication device. The computing system may also receive a second request from the second voice-communication device to establish the secure-voice-communication session with the first voice-communication device. The computing system may establish the secure-voice-communication session between the first and second voice-communication devices. Corresponding methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An electronic messaging system enables delivery of a stored message to a substitute recipient if the original intended recipient fails to access the message. When a message is being stored, the message originator is asked whether the originator will authorize making the stored message available to a substitute recipient if the original intended recipient fails to access the stored message within a predetermined period of time following storage. If the message originator provides such authorization, a substitute recipient is identified. The identity of the substitute recipient and the conditions under which the message will be made available to the substitute recipient are stored in association with the message. The message originator may be authenticated before the message is stored. The substitute recipient may be authenticated before the message is retrieved from storage for delivery to the substitute recipient.
Abstract:
A method for providing a notification includes receiving a notification request at a central location. The notification request includes an audible message, a notification time, and a destination. The audible message is stored at the central location and associated with the notification time and destination. A current time is determined and compared with the determined notification time. The method further includes connecting a telephone call to the destination based on the determination and transmitting the stored audible message to the destination during the telephone call based on the connection.
Abstract:
A system and method for adjusting the frequency of content delivery to a communication device based on the frequency of a user's interaction with the communication device. A method of scheduling and displaying content on a communication device includes collecting data representing a user's interaction with the communication device, transmitting the data from the communication device to a scheduler, assigning the communication device to a use category, the use category assigned based on the number of interactions the user has with the communication device during a period of time, transmitting a signal to the scheduler upon an interaction with the communication device, incrementing a counter at the remote scheduler upon receiving the signal, and periodically displaying content on the communication device based on the use category and the counter.
Abstract:
A method for location-based communicating includes identifying a service provider based on information received from a requesting party at a networked communications apparatus. The method also includes determining whether a plurality of predefined service areas have been defined for the identified service provider. When the plurality of the at least one predefined service areas have been defined for the service provider, determinations are made as whether the requesting party is in one of the predefined service areas. When the requesting party is in a predefined service areas, information specified for a service location for the predefined service area is forwarded to the requesting party.
Abstract:
A method provides a communication link between a first location such as a digital cinema theater and a second location such as a support station. According to one exemplary embodiment, the method includes the steps of initiating a communication link between a first location and a second location in response to an activation by a user, automatically providing an identification associated with the first location to the second location via the communication link, and wherein the identification enables the second location to obtain information relating to an undesirable operating condition of the first location.
Abstract:
A method includes receiving an indication of an elapsed time since a scheduled teleconference meeting start and attendance of the teleconference meeting, determining from the indication whether to issue a notification to an absent invitee of the teleconference meeting, and selectively issuing the notification to the absent invitee.
Abstract:
The mobile phone blocking system and method includes a worldwide prayer time database accessible to mobile phone service provider equipment. Electronic circuitry may be included for comparing local time of the mobile phone to a devotional prayer time in the worldwide prayer time database, wherein a comparison between the mobile phone local time and the devotional prayer time is made. Electronic circuitry is provided for interrupting mobile telephone service to the mobile phone based on a comparison result. If the mobile phone has an incoming call when the mobile telephone service is interrupted by the mobile telephone service interrupt electronic circuitry, the mobile phone is kept in a non-audible, non vibratory, non-visually distracting, standby mode and the incoming call is diverted to an electronic mail box accessible to the user, thus allowing the user of the mobile phone to continue devotional activities without being interrupted by the incoming call.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems and methods that may be utilized to determine parking zone time limit violations, and which may also be utilized to issue parking citations. A system according to the present disclosure may incorporate a digital pen, and mobile communication device, and one or more paper forms. When a chalking form is used, the system creates an electronic chalking record, indicating that a particular vehicle was parked in a location at a specific time. The electronic chalking record may be stored in a chalking database. Later, the database may be queried to determine whether a citation for a parking zone time limit violation should be issued.
