Abstract:
A docking station assembly for transmitting digital images, the docking station assembly comprises a housing for forming an enclosure for the docking station assembly and the housing includes an insert-receiving portion for receiving any of a plurality of removable and replaceable inserts; and a removable and replaceable insert having a docking mating portion which mates with the insert-receiving portion, and having a camera mating portion having a shape of a portion of a particular digital camera.
Abstract:
A power-sharing controller module comprises a processor, power manager, and at least one connector for detachably electrically connecting an application module to the controller module. The power manager is operable to manage power from a battery to the application module through said connector and to monitor the voltage of the battery. The processor is programmed to send a power reduction command to the application module in response to the monitored battery voltage moving outside of a permissible range.A power sharing method comprises supplying power from the battery in the controller module to the application module detachably connected to the controller module. Power supplied to the application module is reduced in response to an adverse power indication to conserve power for the controller module.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus includes one or a plurality of connecting portions configured to connect an external storage, a communication portion having a plurality of different facsimile lines, a line specifying portion configured to specify a facsimile line which received data, a detecting portion configured to detect that an external storage is connected to the connecting portion, and a control portion configured to store the data received by a predetermined facsimile line in an external storage connected to the connecting portion in cases where a facsimile line specified by the line specifying portion is a predetermined line and a connection of the external storage is detected by the detecting portion.
Abstract:
A portable printer for a digital imaging apparatus, in which sound and image information stored to the digital imaging apparatus can be displayed through a wide screen and printed even in a place without a computer. The information can be backed up in the information storage medium equipped in the portable printer. The portable printer includes a printer body, a display part openly mounted to the printer body to output images and moving images recorded to the digital imaging apparatus. An information storage medium is detachably mounted to the printer body to store the images recorded to the digital imaging apparatus, and an output part is mounted to the printer body to output to a printing medium the images recorded to the digital imaging apparatus.
Abstract:
A digital photography system includes a digital camera and a digital printer. The digital camera includes an image display and the digital printer includes user interface controls to control the images displayed on the camera and to select images to be printed.

Abstract:
A handheld viewing device (1) comprises an electronic camera (2) housed in a camera part (7) for capturing a visual image of text on a page, and an electronic monitor (3) housed in a monitor part (4) for displaying the visual image of the text. The camera part (7) is pivotably movable relative to the monitor part (4) from a stowed configuration to a reading configuration, and further to a writing configuration. In the stowed configuration, the plane of the camera part (7) is substantially co-planar with the plane of the monitor part (4), and thus the device (1) presents a very low-profile compact size and shape. In the reading configuration, the camera (2) points in the direction of the page, and the camera part (7) is spaced above the page to ensure that there is sufficient distance between the camera (2) and the page to enable the camera (2) to capture the visual image of the text. In the writing configuration, the camera (2) is still pointed in the direction of the page but slightly outwards to enable a user to place the tip of a pen within the view of the camera (2).
Abstract:
A digital camera and a portable digital device include communication interfaces, respectively, so that a digital image signal of the digital camera is displayed on a display device of the portable digital device, and a user input signal of the portable digital device is processed by the digital camera.
Abstract:
Free setting of the angle or direction of a camera is available while the camera is being inserted into a cradle. A cradle for a digital camera is provided, which is capable of confirming a display screen of the camera, changing the recording medium or battery, or mounting or demounting a communication cable or the like while the camera is being mounted on the cradle without deteriorating the camera holding. The cradle has a structure such that a tripod screw hole is formed on the bottom surface of the cradle, thereby capable of fixing the cradle to a tripod while the digital camera is being inserted into the cradle. By making the height of rubber pads equal or higher than that of a tripod base, the cradle can be stably placed on a desk or the like. The cradle also has a structure that, among the walls holding the camera, a part of the walls that cover a liquid-crystal monitor of the camera, a media slot for a memory card, a terminal part including a power supply terminal or USB terminal is constituted by movable walls. The movable walls can be used as a simple tripod by employing a free stop structure or click stop structure.
Abstract:
In an image pickup apparatus, a cartridge locking apparatus and a cartridge locking method, a cartridge, accommodating a recording medium for printing, mounted in a mounting unit for mounting the cartridge is locked so as not to be detached in response to a state a printing operation is being performed.
