Abstract:
The calling image forming apparatus includes an image processing unit that encodes read image data, a communication controlling unit and modem that performs facsimile transmission for each page of encoded data that has been encoded, and an image memory that stores confidential data, which are data that should be confidential for the communication counterpart (callee). When the facsimile transmission is performed for each page of the encoded data, the image forming apparatus notifies the counterpart image forming apparatus that the confidential data are added and transmitted at the end of the page and performs the facsimile transmission of the confidential data added to the end of the page when a notification of transmission permission is received from the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
Facsimile transcoding is dynamically invoked for devices that do not support T.38 fax protocol. In this way, a unified messaging platform can process facsimiles from endpoints that are not T.38 capable without using without digital signal processor resources. Dynamic fax transcoding can be performed at a session border controller, allowing transcoding resources to be engaged only for non-T.38 endpoints rather than for all calls on an interface.
Abstract:
Digital camera includes an image sensor receiving incident light of a scene, the digital camera captures an image corresponding to the incident light; display displays the plurality of captured images and displays a menu of destinations; at least one user input for selection of at least one image from the plurality of captured images and a destination from the menu of destinations displayed on the display; communications interface transmits the at least one selected image to the selected destination over one of a plurality of networks, the plurality of networks including at least two different types of wireless networks; memory; and processor coupled to the image sensor, the display, the at least one user input, the communications interface, and the memory, the processor controlling the transmission of the at least one selected image to the selected destination using either one of the at least two different types of wireless networks.
Abstract:
An electronic camera includes: a communication unit engaged in communication with an external device; a selection unit that selects a transfer method of a photographic image; a transfer control unit that controls the communication unit so as to start, in response to a command transmission from the communication unit to the external device, a transfer of the photographic image from the communication unit to the external device through the transfer method selected by the selection unit; a registration unit where information related to the photographic image to be transferred is registered; and a registration control unit that adjusts a registration method with which the information is registered in the registration unit in correspondence to the transfer method selected by the selection unit.
Abstract:
A communication terminal device includes a connection establishing unit which establishes a connection by a call control protocol with a destination device designated by an IP telephone number, a communication protocol requesting unit which request a presentation of a plurality of communication protocols which can be supported by the destination device over the connection, a communication protocol selecting unit which selects one communication protocol which the communication terminal device itself can support from the communication protocols presented from the destination device as a response to the request by the communication protocol requesting unit, and a communication unit which communicates with the destination device over the connection by the communication protocol selected by the communication protocol selecting unit.
Abstract:
In facsimile-communicating an original when the Internet selection state in an operation unit is set to “automatic selection”, the original is communicated by selecting the e-mail-based Internet for an A4 original size, and the session-based Internet for a B4 or A3 original size. At the same time, the original information is transmitted in accordance with the transmission mode of its own apparatus, the encoding method determined based on the reception capability of a facsimile apparatus at a reception destination, and the receiving-side output original size and resolution.
Abstract:
A method, system, and computer program product for managing information used by a plurality of communication protocols to extract status information related to a monitored device among distinct devices communicatively coupled to a network. The method includes selecting a communication protocol among the plurality of communication protocols; retrieving, from a first memory, information for accessing the device using the selected communication protocol; and accessing the device using the selected communication protocol and the information retrieved from the first memory. In addition, a vendor-model support map, a protocol parameter map, and a status information map are maintained to allow for the efficient extraction of status information from monitored network devices using the plurality of communication protocols.
Abstract:
An image processor has an image scanning unit, a memory, an address specification unit, a scan control unit, and a transmission control unit. The image scanning unit is configured to scan an original image. The memory is configured to store image data scanned by the image scanning unit. The address specification unit is able to specify a plurality of addresses of different protocols as multi-address destination. The scan control unit controls the image data scanned by the image scanning unit. The transmission control unit is configured to generate an image data from an image data stored in the memory, such that the image data has an image quality that is appropriate for the protocol corresponding to each of the addresses specified by the address specification unit, and transmit the image data to each of the addresses.
Abstract:
An Internet facsimile apparatus, comprising: a network communication unit for communicating with an external apparatus in direct SMTP via a network, a printing unit for printing image data received through the network communication unit from the external apparatus, and a response mode selecting unit for selecting/setting either “Quick Response mode” to send a response right after image data reception or “Post-processing Response mode” to send a response after image data printing is completed when image data sent by direct SMTP communication is received through said network communication unit.
