Compounds, compositions and methods for modulating the activity of nuclear receptors are provided. In particular, heterocyclic compounds are provided for modulating the activity of farnesoid X receptor (FXR), liver X receptor (LXR) and/or orphan nuclear receptors. In certain embodiments, the compounds are thiazolidinone derivatives.
Abstract:
Method for preparation of anode film for thin film battery comprises: providing a target material to provide Li ion and Ti ion and a substrate comprising a base layer, a buffer layer and a precious metal current collector layer; sputtering LiMO layer on a said substrate at high temperature in a vacuum chamber and obtaining the anode film for thin film battery of this invention. In this invention, material for the precious metal current collector may be a precious metal such as Ag, Au, Pt etc., the alloy and oxides of these metals. The sputtering temperature may be above 300° C., preferably above 500° C. and most preferably above 650° C. The anode thin film material so prepared may be Li4Ti5O12. This invention also discloses anode film so prepared and thin film battery using such anode film.

A wireless bar code symbol reading system for use in both vertical and horizontal orientations in a work environment. The system comprises a wireless hand-supportable bar code symbol reading device in two-way RF communication with a base station that is installable within a work environment and includes a base station housing having a cradle portion provided with a pair of hinged support hooks for supporting the hand-supportable housing of the reading device in both vertical and horizontal orientations. The pair of hinged support hooks are arrangeable in a protracted position within the cradle portion so as to support the hand-supportable housing in the cradle portion mounted in a vertical orientation. The pair of hinged support hooks are arrangeable in a retracted position within the cradle portion so as to support the hand-supportable housing in the cradle portion mounted in a horizontal orientation.

Thus, the liquid is mixed with and atomized by the pressurized gas and the misted gas hits the striking face of the guide unit to multiple misted molecules, thereby enhancing and optimizing the atomized effect of the liquid.

The lamp assembly comprises a base with a bottom portion and an opening, and a lamp with a bulb disposed at the bottom portion in a manner such that it extends toward the opening. The air guide plate comprises a body, a first guide portion, a second guide portion, and a third guide portion. The first guide portion substantially extends between the bulb and the bottom portion. The second guide portion substantially extends toward the bulb. The third guide portion substantially extends between the bulb and the opening.

The present invention discloses a composite structure including an inorganic thin film having a defined mesostructure formed in a surfactant based formation process including a non-cationic surfactant template material, and, a conjugated polymer immobilized within the mesostructured inorganic thin film. A sensor using such a composite structure as a responsive element and a method of detecting trace amounts of nitro-containing organic species are also disclosed.

A differential voltage transmission circuit. The reference bias circuit outputs a first reference voltage, a second reference voltage and a reference current corresponding to a reference current adjusting signal. The differential comparator compares the difference between the first reference voltage and the second reference voltage with the difference between a first output voltage and a second output voltage, and outputs a result signal corresponding to the compared result. The decision circuit outputs the reference current adjusting signal corresponding to the result signal. The output circuit outputs the first output voltage and the second output voltage generated at both terminals of a termination resistor when the reference current flows through the termination resistor.

A joint has a first leaf having an inner gear and a second leaf having an external gear meshing with the inner gear. A stub with a wedge-shaped outer periphery is formed on the first leaf. A driving member is non-rotatably attached to a shaft and rotatably received between the leaves. A supporting base is mounted between the leaves and is actuated by the driving member. At least one driven wedge-shaped segment is mounted around the stub. Each segment has an inner wedge-shaped surface to mate with the outer wedge-shaped outer periphery of stub. A wedge arrangement is arranged between the supporting base and each segment to raise the segment as the driving member is rotated with the shaft. Accordingly, the angle between the leaves can be adjusted, and the shaking of the second leaf with respect to the first leaf can be prevented.

Novel reactions used to prepare phosphole and bisphosphole compounds are detailed. Novel phosphole compounds and metal coordination compounds of phosphole and bisphosphole compounds are also provided. These metal coordination compounds are useful as catalysts for the polymerization or olefins with carbon monoxide and for the polymerization of acrylic monomers.
