Abstract: Wireless wearable devices having self-steering antennas are disclosed. A disclosed example wearable device includes an antenna to be communicatively coupled to a wireless data transceiver of a base station. The disclosed example wearable device also includes a steering mount coupled to the antenna, where the steering mount is to adjust an orientation of the antenna towards a wireless coverage zone associated with the wireless data transceiver based on a movement of the wearable device.

Abstract: Transmission power control methods and devices are described. In a transmission power control method, a specific absorption rate (SAR) is calculated based on a transmission power of the communication device and a proximity distance of the communication device with an external object. A time average specific absorption rate can be calculated based on the SAR. A power absorption budget value can be calculated based on the time average specific absorption rate and a time average specific absorption rate threshold value. Further, the transmission power of the communication device can be adjusted based on the power absorption budget value.

The computing unit further includes a system base coupled to the power receiving unit wherein the power receiving unit is to provide power to the system base. Abstract: A computing device includes a charging coil for producing a charging current when placed in a magnetic field of a wireless power transmitter. A wireless charging operating frequency is associated with wireless charging of a battery of the computing device by the charging coil and the wireless power transmitter. An electrically conductive substrate has a plurality of gaps for reducing eddy currents when the electrically conductive substrate is disposed between the charging coil and the wireless power transmitter during charging of the battery. A plurality of filters each electrically bridge a respective one of the gaps. Each filter attenuates signals within a range of frequencies including the wireless charging operating frequency.

Abstract: An apparatus is described. The apparatus includes a transmission coil and a power amplifier. The power amplifier includes a microcontroller and a memory.
