Abstract: Aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting is discussed. An example user equipment includes a receiver circuit, processor, and transmitter circuit. The receiver circuit receives transmissions from a plurality of serving cells via a carrier aggregation (CA) mode and receives an aperiodic CSI reporting request indicating a set for CSI reporting. The plurality of serving cells comprises at least six serving cells, and one or more of the plurality is associated with the indicated set. The processor is operably coupled to the receiver circuit and calculates one or more CSI parameters for each serving cell of the plurality that is associated with the indicated set; and generates an aperiodic CSI report based at least in part on the calculated CSI parameters for each serving cell associated with the indicated set. The transmitter circuit transmits the aperiodic CSI report to an Evolved NodeB (eNB) via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH).

Abstract: Examples are disclosed for sending or receiving channel state information (CSI) reports associated with coordinated multi-point (CoMP) schemes. The examples include user equipment (UE) constraining CSI feedback to one or more transmission points implementing a CoMP scheme with the UE. The examples also include a transmission point such as an evolved node B (eNB) triggering CSI feedback and receiving a CSI report in response to the trigger. The CSI report generated based on the UE constraining CSI feedback. Constraining CSI feedback may include the UE generating fewer CSI reports, reusing information between CSI reports or increasing an amount of time allowed for processing and generating CSI reports. Other examples are described and claimed.

Abstract: Technology for an UE operable to report channel state information (CSI) for multi-user superposition transmissions (MUST) is disclosed. The UE can process a plurality of power offset parameters that are received from an eNodeB, for the MUST. The UE can perform a downlink channel measurement at a user equipment (UE). The UE can scale the downlink channel measurement using at least one of the plurality of power offset parameters to form one or more scaled downlink channel measurements. The UE can calculate CQI values for the one or more scaled downlink channel measurements. The UE can process, for transmission to the eNodeB, the CQI values for the one or more scaled downlink channel measurements to enable the UE to receive data on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) using multi-user superposition transmission.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described related to interference averaging to generate feedback information and interference averaging to demodulate receives signals. In embodiments, an evolved Node B (eNB) may transmit interference averaging information to a user equipment (UE) including a time domain averaging indicator indicating a time domain averaging window to be used by the UE for averaging interference measurements in a time domain or a frequency domain averaging indicator to indicate a frequency domain averaging window to be used by the UE for averaging interference measurements in a frequency domain. Additionally, or alternatively, the eNB may transmit an interference resource group (IRG) indicator to the UE to indicate an IRG over which the UE is to perform interference averaging to facilitate demodulation of signals received by the UE from the eNB.

Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for reporting channel state information (CSI) in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) can include physical layer circuitry to receive, in a first subframe, a first aperiodic CSI request from a first cell group, and a second aperiodic CSI request from a second cell group. The UE can include processing circuitry to determine a number of requested CSI processes corresponding to the first aperiodic CSI request and the second aperiodic CSI request. Additionally, the processing circuitry can select a subset of the requested CSI processes when the determined number of requested CSI processes is more than five. Furthermore, the processing circuitry can calculate CSI for the selected CSI processes.

Abstract: Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for subframe restricted Channel State Information (CSI) reporting with Rank Indicator (RI) inheritance. A User Equipment (UE) device may include an RI generation module to generate RIs based on a received CSI configuration from an evolved Node B (eNB) of a serving cell of the UE. The UE may also include an RI Reference Process CSI generation module to generate a first Reference CSI including a first selected RI of the generated RIs, the first selection based on a first subframe set of the received CSI configuration, and to generate a second Reference CSI including a second selected RI of the generated RIs, the second selection based on a second subframe set of the received CSI configuration. The UE may further include a Linked Process CSI generation module to generate a linked CSI including an inherited RI from the first Reference CSI.

Abstract: Power offset signaling techniques for network-assisted interference cancellation and suppression (NAICS) receivers are described. In one embodiment, for example, user equipment (UE) may comprise at least one radio frequency (RF) transceiver, at least one RF antenna, and logic, at least a portion of which is in hardware, the logic to receive a radio resource control (RRC) connection control message comprising a RadioResourceConfigDedicated field and perform a radio resource configuration procedure in response to receipt of the RRC connection control message, the RRC connection control message to comprise network-assisted interference cancellation and suppression (NAICS) assistance information that identifies a power offset value for one or more transmissions to the UE over a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) of a serving cell of the UE.
