Intranasal delivery devices include dosage forms containing medical compositions for use in the intranasal devices, and methods of delivering medical compositions to the nasal mucosa of users. The devices dispense a predetermined quantity of fluid into the nasal passage of a user, in which the predetermined quantity of fluid is contained in, or produced in a dosage form or blister that is crushed by a plunger with sufficient force to drive the dosage form against a piercing mechanism, piercing the dosage form and forcing the liquid contents from the dosage form and through a delivery channel into a spray to be directed into the nasal passage of a user. The plunger is connected to a trigger device by a linkage that confers a mechanical advantage to the trigger mechanism.

A dispenser is provided for the delivery of controlled, metered amounts of any of numerous different substances to humans or animals, such as medicaments, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food products, or to deliver materials that may react upon exposure to air, such as glue. Means are provided in the dispenser to effect controlled delivery of a pre-determined amount of the substance contained in the dispenser. A one-way valve is provided to hermetically seal the portion of the dispenser containing the substance to be dispensed.

A coaxial syringe spray assembly that includes a first receptacle defined by the assembly, a second receptacle defined by the assembly and in coaxial alignment with the first receptacle, and a spray tip assembly configured to be in fluid communication with both the first receptacle and the second receptacle. The spray tip defines a first fluid chamber in fluid communication with the first receptacle, a second fluid chamber in fluid communication with the first receptacle, and an outlet port that defines a blending chamber that is in fluid communication with the second receptacle, the first fluid chamber, and the second fluid chamber such that a first fluid introduced into the first fluid chamber and a second fluid introduced into the second fluid chamber are mixed in the blending chamber to provide a mixture having a helical flow pattern.

A nasal spray pump comprises a reservoir extending between a closed end and an open end. A cap is disposed over the open end. A stem extends between an outlet end and a lower end, the stem having a conduit. A piston is disposed the stem and is configured for movement between a first position wherein the piston seals or substantially seals a conduit inlet and a second position wherein the piston is moved away from the first piston position to open the conduit inlet to the contents of the reservoir. The stem is configured for movement from a first stem position wherein the piston is disposed in or over the reservoir in the first piston position and a second stem position wherein the stem is moved toward the closed end of the reservoir such that the piston is moved into the second piston position.

An applicator for mixing and applying multi-component compositions to a work surface, such as two-component surgical sealants. A luer hub sub-assembly having a proximal hub and a distal hub, an elongate, four-lumened cannula, and a spray tip sub-assembly are provided, with interconnections between the sub-assemblies preserving isolation of the fluid components from one another. The tip cap sub-assembly includes registration structure to assure proper alignment between tip cap and tip insert. The end wall of the tip cap includes a spinner region with three feeders or feeder channels leading thereto, the fluid components remaining isolated from one another in two of the feeders or feeder channels, and initiating mixing with one another in a third of the feeders or feeder channels.

The delivery systems of the present disclosure are configurable to administer either single-dose or multiple-doses of one or more substances to a user, for example to the eye, nose, mouth, ear or rectum of the user. The precise and repeatable dosing features of the presently disclosed delivery systems overcome many of the disadvantages associated with known methods for dispensing substances to, for example, the eye of a user. The delivery systems administer precise doses of a substance to a precise location from unit dosage forms that may be single-dose or multiple-dose unit dosage forms, which may be externally or internally pierced.
