Abstract:
A method of depositing an extrudable substance onto a surface. The method comprises the step of delivering the extrudable substance from a cartridge to a flow-bypass assembly. The method further comprises the step of selectively controlling the flow-bypass assembly to purge air from the extrudable substance before the extrudable substance enters a delivery tube. The method further comprises the step of selectively controlling the flow-bypass assembly to deliver the extrudable substance from the flow-bypass assembly to a valve assembly via the delivery tube. The method further comprises the step of controlling flow of the extrudable substance from the valve assembly to a nozzle.

The apparatus (100) also comprises a linear actuator (120), configured to position the valve (144) relative to the valve body (140). The apparatus (100) further comprises a nozzle (118), fixed to the valve body (140) and rotatable relative to the bracket (104) together with the valve body (140).
Abstract:
A water valve and a drinking device are provided. The water valve includes an upper support, a lower support, a valve spool, a sealing member, a spring and a water outlet. The upper support is provided with a water inlet. The lower support is provided with a water outlet and a vent hole. The valve spool has a first end connected with the upper support and a second end fixedly connected with the lower support, and the valve spool is movable relative to the upper support, to switch on or off a communication between the water inlet and the water outlet. When the water valve is at a state of discharging water, an interior of the water outlet pipe is not communicated with atmosphere; when the water valve is at a state of not discharging water, the vent hole communicates the interior of the water outlet pipe with the atmosphere.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present disclosure is an applicator for dispensing adhesive onto a substrate. The applicator includes a manifold and at least one dispensing module coupled to the manifold. The applicator may include a least one pump assembly removably mounted the manifold. Each pump assembly having an outlet in flow communication with the manifold, and an inlet in flow communication with the adhesive. The pump assembly includes a gear assembly for pumping adhesive from said inlet to said outlet and a drive motor with a drive shaft connected to the gear assembly. The drive motor has a shaft with an axis that intersects said front surface of the pump assembly. In another example, the shaft has an axis that does not intersect both of a first side and a second side of said manifold.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, methods and systems of pollinating crops in a crop-containing area include at least one unmanned vehicle having a receptacle including pollen, a pollen dispenser configured to dispense the pollen from the receptacle onto the crops, and a sensor configured to detect presence of the pollen dispensed from the at least one pollen dispenser on the crops and interpret the presence of the pollen dispensed from the at least one pollen dispenser on the crops as a verification that the pollen dispensed from the at least one pollen dispenser was successfully applied to the crops.

Abstract:
Provided are a substrate processing apparatus, a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium, which are capable of reducing an effect on a substrate, which is caused by a change in an atmosphere in a substrate storage container, by appropriately supplying an inert gas into the substrate storage container. The substrate processing apparatus includes a purge mechanism installed in at least one of a support unit and a receiving unit accommodating a substrate storage container, and configured to supply an inert gas into the substrate storage container; a monitoring unit configured to compare a flow rate of the predetermined gas supplied into the substrate storage container via the purge mechanism with a preset reference value and output a signal indicating a result of comparison between the flow rate of the predetermined gas and the preset reference value; and a management unit configured to manage use of the substrate storage container, based on the signal outputted from the monitoring unit.
Abstract:
Provided is a coating tool for forming a film having uniform thickness on a target by controlling precisely a flow-rate of a coating liquid, even if its viscosity is high. In the coating tool, a coating head 1 includes a pair of head members 10 and 20; a slot 3 is formed between a pair of interior surfaces 11 and 21, facing each other, of the head members 10 and 20; and a coating liquid flows through the slot 3 and is discharged from the tip of the coating head 1. An internal flow-rate control mechanism 60 is provided to control the flow-rate of the coating liquid in the slot 3 by adjusting a convexity and/or a concavity.
