    Abstract: An ozone generator includes a dielectric medium with a single continuous wire electrode forming an active corona element being operatively mounted relative to the dielectric medium. A counter-electrode forms a conducting medium in intimate contact with the dielectric medium. Ozone is produced by applying a high frequency, sinusoidal high voltage circuit that is operatively connected to the single continuous wire and the counter-electrode and supplying a voltage thereto.

    Abstract: Devices for generating and storing ozone. A device for generating ozone includes: at least one elongated electrode unit including an outer tubular dielectric member and an inner conducting member having a longitudinal axis; and one or more elongated electrode tubes disposed circumferentially about the longitudinal axis. Each of the electrode tubes is arranged in parallel to the electrode unit. When an electrical potential is applied across the conducting member and electrode tubes during operation, plasma is established between the dielectric member and electrode tubes. The plasma converts oxygen gas into ozone gas.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for sterilizing articles using an ozone-containing gas, where condensation of water from the sterilization atmosphere during the sterilization process is substantially prevented. The inventive sterilization method includes providing a sterilization chamber and placing an article into the sterilization chamber. The sterilization chamber is sealed prior to equalizing the temperature of the article and the atmosphere in the sterilization chamber. A vacuum is applied to achieve a preselected vacuum pressure in the sterilization chamber. Once the vacuum pressure is set, water vapour is supplied to the sterilization chamber. Ozone-containing gas is then supplied to the sterilization chamber and the sterilization chamber remains sealed for a preselected treatment period, where the sterilization chamber remains sealed throughout the whole process. Finally, vacuum in the sterilization chamber is released.

    Abstract: An ion generator that can generate a controlled trace amount of ozone together with negative or positive ions. The ion generator includes an insulation substrate, a ground electrode and a high-voltage electrode on the insulation substrate, an insulating film formed on the ground electrode, and a wire electrode. The root of the wire electrode is soldered to the high-voltage electrode. The tip of the wire electrode is arranged so as to protrude in a recessed part. The ground electrode has a pair of legs disposed on the insulation substrate at the sides of the recessed part. The legs are parallel to the wire electrode on opposite sides of the wire electrode. The insulating film is provided on the surface of the ground electrode to cover the ground electrode except the high-voltage electrode contacting a first terminal, a contact portion contacting a second terminal and parts of the legs of tips of the ground electrode that face the tip of the wire electrode.
