Abstract:
A drinking water supply device may comprise a mineral water supply module comprising a mineral cartridge to store condensed minerals, a mineral supply pipe provided with a micro channel to supply minerals to a water supply pipe, a mineral cartridge receiver detachably coupled to the mineral cartridge and connected to the mineral supply pipe, a mineral supply valve to open and close the mineral supply pipe, and a discharge pipe to discharge filtered water or mineral water. A method of cleaning a drinking water supply device may comprise of discharging residual minerals using a mineral drainage unit including a drainage pipe connected to the mineral supply pipe and a drainage valve to open and close the drainage pipe, supplying cleaning water to a channel in which minerals or mineral water flow of the mineral water supply module, and supplying rinsing water to the channel.
Abstract:
This system (18) comprises a holding and separating tank (36), an inlet (38) for moving untreated waste water into the holding tank (36), and a bubble generator (32), able to introduce a quantity of bubbles into the waste water of the holding tank (36), in order to form, in a lower region (50) of the holding tank (36), a treated water and, in an upper region (52) of the holding tank (36), a supernatant. The system (18) comprises a lower outlet (40) for recovering a treated water from the holding tank (36) and an upper outlet (42) for discharging a foamy supernatant from the holding tank (36).The system (18) is devoid of means for injecting a compound for flocculating and/or coagulating the waste water, at least upstream from the holding tank (36).
Abstract:
A filtration system for an appliance includes a water source coupled with the appliance to provide an intake water flow. A filter unit is coupled with water source to receive the intake water flow and dispense a filtered water flow. An isolation valve is coupled between the water source and the filter unit and movable between a first position and a second position. A distribution valve is coupled with an ice maker and a water dispenser of the appliance. The distribution valve receives the filtered water flow when the isolation valve is in the first position, and the distribution valve receives the intake water flow via a bypass line when the isolation valve is in the second position. The isolation valve is configured to move to the second position upon expiration of the service life of the filter unit.
Abstract:
A cartridge system for converting a bulk feeder which delivers a single water treatment material at a high rate to a bulk feeder that delivers two or more water treatment materials at a lower rate through locating a set of dispensing cartridges in the chamber of the bulk feeder with the dispensing cartridges held in position to maintain the fluid outlet port of one of the cartridges in fluid alignment with the fluid inlet port of another cartridge to provide cartridge to cartridge flow without having to circulate the fluid through the chamber of the bulk feeder.
Abstract:
A composite filter apparatus includes a container with a receiving space, and top and bottom openings communicated with the receiving space. A filter member includes a filter core in the receiving space, a blocking member on a top end of the filter core, and a retainer plate on a bottom end of the filter core. The receiving space is divided by the blocking member into an upper receiving space that communicates the top opening of the container, and a lower receiving space that surrounds the filter core and that communicates the bottom opening. Activated carbon particles are filled in the upper and lower receiving spaces.
Abstract:
A water filter assembly having one or more electrical connections with a removable filter cartridge is provided. The electrical connections can be used to provide power to, and/or communication with, one or more electrical components incorporated into the filter cartridge. Wire form contacts are used to provide the electrical connections. The wire form contacts can be incorporated into a variety of different water filter assembly configurations having a removable filter cartridge.
Abstract:
A composition, and its method of manufacture, is provided for the settling of solids suspended in liquids passing through a reactor housing containing the composition whereupon the composition can dissolve and enter into the liquid and then contact the suspended solids in the liquid. A system and method of for treating water or sewage is further provided, The system can include a screening tank, a septic tank, a flocculant and mixing reactor, a primary clarifier, a secondary clarifier, a sludge dewatering tank, a surge tank, one or more filter tanks and a disinfection tank. The method can include the steps of receiving water or sewage to be treated and passing it through a screening tank and septic tank, a flocculant reactor, a primary clarifier, a secondary clarifier, a sludge dewatering tank, a surge tank, one or more filter tanks and a disinfection tank.
Abstract:
A water filtration system utilizes a housing configured to utilize various types of filter media and having a press-sealed closing system. The closing system includes a head portion defining a head opening, a lock member, and a lid member. The lock member releasably engages the head portion such that an abutment section of the lock member projects into the head opening. The lid member is received by the head portion to cover the head opening, and has an outward-facing press section configured to abut an inward facing portion of the abutment section of the lock member when the lid member is covering the head opening. Pressure generated within the housing during water filtration presses the lid member in an outward direction and causes the lid member press section to press against the abutment section of the lock member to substantially prevent disengagement of the lock member from the head portion.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of eliminate filter air locks by maintaining a constant water table at the water head layer of the filter. The constant water table eliminates air locks in the filter as the filter drains. Water flows from the water head layer through a filtration medium in a filter cartridge, and the filtered water is output from a water outlet at the top of the cartridge. For a water table retention filter, where the water (or other liquid) being filtered, is re-directed to the top of the filter to the water head layer to avoid drawing air into the filter. Unfiltered water drains down the center of the filter to the water head layer and then flows up through the filter and is directed out near or at the top of the filter.
Abstract:
A water filter assembly includes a first filter cartridge and a second filter cartridge mounted to a manifold. The first and second filter cartridges are plumbed into the manifold such that unfiltered water from an inlet of the manifold flows in parallel to the first and second filter cartridges. A third filter cartridge is also mounted to the manifold. The third filter cartridge is plumbed into the manifold such that filtered water from the first and second filter cartridges is directed into the third filter cartridge.
