A stitchless garment and a method of making the stitchless garment are provided. The method is used in connection with manufacturing a circular knit garment using a first garment component and a second garment component. The method includes the steps of providing the first garment component and providing the second garment component so that the second garment component overlaps the first garment component to define a connection. A bonding tape is provided at the connection. Heat is applied to the first garment component and the second garment component. The method also includes the step of applying pressure to the bonding tape to adhere the first garment component to the second garment component to provide a stitchless garment.
Abstract:
A novel five-layer tape is provided for applications such as bonding, interconnection and insulation of different parts of a semiconductor package at the same time. The five layer tape includes a metal conductive layer that is sandwiched between two insulative layers, that are themselves in turn sandwiched by two adhesive layers. Windows cut into the insulative and adhesive layers on either the top or bottom of the tape permit electrical connection to the metallic conductive layer. The tape may be made from two insulation sheets that have an adhesive layer and a metallic interconnect. In turn, the tape enables the manufacturer to overcome physical limitations in forming conduction paths, including permitting the connection of multiple die where the terminals of the one die are obscured by the other die.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an adhesive tape for laminating a first substrate to a second substrate, wherein the adhesive tape includes a carrier having on a first major surface a first adhesive layer and having on a second major surface opposite to the first major surface in the order given a non-tacky polymer layer and a second adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive tape is capable of being adhered to the first substrate by the first adhesive layer and to the second substrate by the second adhesive layer. The adhesive tape is capable of delamination between the carrier and the non-tacky polymer layer when the first and second substrate are peeled away from each other so as to leave the carrier on the first substrate and the non-tacky polymer layer on the second substrate with a major surface of the non-tacky polymer layer or the carrier. The non-tacky polymer layer and carrier are not co-extruded layers. The present invention further provides a method for manufacturing the adhesive tape and the use of the adhesive tape for placing inserts in a multi-page publication.

Abstract:
A stretch releasing adhesive tape article includes an elongate length of stretch releasing adhesive tape and a segmented liner arranged on the adhesive that can be used to form a manually engageable pull tab at a selected location on a discrete strip of tape cut from the length of tape. Each segment of the liner can be individually removed from the tape. The segmented liner allows the adhesive tape to be made in any length and wound upon itself to form a roll, and allows a user to cut a strip having a selected length depending on the end use application for the strip, and further allows the user to form a manually engageable non-adhesive pull tab at any location on the strip which can be grasped and pulled by a user to stretch remove the tape from a substrate.
Abstract:
A conformable, heat-resistant, paintable acrylic-based pressure sensitive adhesive tape and method for adhering the tape to a substrate is provided. The tape is comprised of a solid acrylic-based carrier including an acrylic-based adhesive on both sides of the carrier, and a conformable, heat-resistant liner adhered to at least one side of the adhesive.
