Abstract:
The invention therefore provides an additive for improving the cold flow performance of middle distillates, comprising I) at least one paraffin dispersant which is a derivative of a fatty amine, II) at least one block copolymer of the structure (AB)nA or (AB)m, where A represents blocks which are composed of olefinically unsaturated, aromatic monomers, and B represents blocks which are composed of structural elements based on polyolefins and are capable of cocrystallizing with the paraffins precipitating out of the middle distillate in the course of cooling, and n is a number in the range from 1 to 10 and m is a number in the range from 2 to 10.
Abstract:
Crude oils, especially heavy crude oils that are subject to instability on storage or during transportation can be treated with additives in order to stabilizer the crude oil in regard to precipitating contaminants such as asphaltenes. Alkylphenol resins with at least a second component selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid amides, mannich resins and mixtures thereof are effective additives for stabilizing crude oils.
Abstract:

The present disclosure also provides compositions and methods for reducing deposit formation in engines combusting a fuel containing ethanol, a corrosion inhibitor, and a dispersant.
Abstract:
An additive for low-sulfur mineral oil distillates having improved cold flowability and paraffin dispersancy, comprising at least one ester of an alkoxylated polyol and at least one polar nitrogen-containing paraffin dispersant.
Abstract:
The invention provides terpolymers of ethylene, at least one ethylenically unsaturated ester and propene, which a) contain from 12.0 to 16.0 mol % of structural units derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated ester, b) contain from 1.0 to 4.0 methyl groups derived from propene per 100 aliphatic carbon atoms, and c) have fewer than 6.5 methyl groups stemming from chain ends per 100 CH2 groups. and also their use as cold additives for middle distillates.
Abstract:
A fuel for use in a jet engine may be prepared by admixing a hydrocarbon fuel and a first additive selected from the group consisting of ethoxylated alkylphenol formaldehyde resins, maleic anhydride alpha olefin copolymers and mixtures thereof and a second additive comprising an admixture of platinum group and cerium compounds. The jet fuels including the additives may be used in jet engines where it is desirable to have reduced concentrations of particulates in exhausts, particularly when the jet engines are running at cruise speed.
