Abstract: A vehicle driver security screen and in particular a screen that seeks to minimize access to the driver's area of a vehicle such as a taxi cab or bus from side or rear attempts by passengers to access the driver area in an assault or robbery situation. The security screen is removably attached to the driver's seat in a way that does not restrict the movement of the driver's seat, nor restrict the driver's access or escape from the vehicle. The present invention is useful for drivers of public transport who are regularly exposed to aggressive behavior from passengers. The security screen provides protection to the head and torso regions of the driver while allowing contact with the passengers, such as when money is exchanged. Furthermore, the security screen provides protection to the driver from rear knife attack.

Abstract: A fluid pump comprising a pump body, a low pressure impeller, a high pressure impeller, impeller seal means separating the inlet side of the low pressure impeller from its pressure side, a pump priming system, and a pump priming conduit provided through the low pressure impeller radially inboard of the impeller seal means. The high pressure impeller is preferably provided within a cavity, defined by an impeller recess and a cover plate. A wear ring is preferably provided between the low pressure impeller and the inboard end of the cover plate. The pump priming conduit preferably comprises: first and second axial bores through the pump body; a radial bore and two axial holes through the cover plate; an axial hole through the rear wear ring; a cavity between the wear ring and the low pressure impeller; and axial holes through the low pressure impeller, connecting the cavity to the suction side of the low pressure impeller.

Abstract: A gas dryer includes a housing, and a drying drum in the housing which is permeable to allow a flow of gas through the drum between its opposite first and second ends. A first flow guide is located at the first end of the drum and a second flow guide is located at the second end of the drum. The first and second flow guides define between them a primary region of the drum for a primary gas flow to flow through the drum, and a secondary region of the drum for a secondary gas flow to flow through the drum, and are mounted for rotation about the drum axis so that boundaries between the primary and secondary regions rotate around the drum. The permeable structure of the drying drum and the flow guides allow the primary and secondary gas flows to flow through their respective regions of the drum without significant mixing.

Abstract: A pump injector comprising a pumping chamber, a valve needle controlling communication between the pumping chamber and one or more outlet openings, and a spill valve controlling communication between the pumping chamber and a low pressure fuel reservoir, in use. The pump injector also comprises an inlet non-return valve arranged to permit fuel to flow from the fuel reservoir to the pumping chamber, in use, but substantially preventing fuel flow in the reverse direction. Abstract: A fluid treatment device is disclosed. The device includes a vessel having a fluid entrance and exit. Within the vessel hollow fibre of nano-porous material are arranged so as to define two volumes separated by the nano-porous material. In one embodiment the fluid, air, passes up the centre of the hollow fibre drying as the air contacts the inner walls of the fibre. The device is purged by stopping the flow through the device and allowing the air pressure that builds up between the fibres to be released through the nano-porous material.
