Abstract: An optical fiber security system is described. The optical fiber security system includes an optical fiber, an optoelectronic modulator and an optoelectronic demodulator. The optoelectronic modulator and the optoelectronic demodulator are both directly connected to the optical fiber. The optoelectronic modulator converts video signals to cable television video signals and subsequently converts to optical signals. The optical signals are transmitted to the optoelectronic demodulator through the optical fiber.
