Abstract:
A cap including a penetrable material adapted to be pierced by a fluid transfer device and an absorbent material positioned above the penetrable material. The absorbent material permits passage of the fluid transfer device and absorbs fluid material present on an outer surface of the fluid transfer device as it is being removed from the cap. The cap is useful for accessing the contents of an associated fluid-holding vessel multiple times.
Abstract:
A weighting device for removably attaching to a golf club. The device has a mass with a bore formed therethrough and an access slot in open communication with the bore. The slot provides an entrance opening in the mass that is transverse to the bore for attaching the device to a shaft of a golf club.
Abstract:
A golf accessory device includes a divot tool having a pair of spaced apart prongs at one end for repairing divots in a golfing surface. The tool also has an opening adjacent another end for receiving a ball marker assembly. A magnet is positioned in and circumscribes the opening. The ball marker assembly includes a ball marker and a support plate with the ball marker being magnetically attached to a first surface of the plate. A clip is attached to an opposite surface of the support plate. The marker and plate fit within the opening in the tool with an outer edge of the plate seated on the magnet. The ball marker assembly can be removed from the divot tool and attached to an item of clothing by the clip.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a device for measuring fluid dispense volumes including one or more wells adapted to receive a fluid; a tube having an internal passageway fluidly coupled to the one or more wells, wherein fluid in the wells passes into the internal passageway via capillary action to form a fluid column having a meniscus spaced from the wells; and a scale coupled to the tube, the scale calibrated to provide an indication of the volume of the fluid based upon the location of the meniscus in the fluid passageway.

Abstract:
An automated analyzer for performing multiple diagnostic assays simultaneously includes multiple stations in which discrete aspects of the assay are performed on fluid samples contained in sample vessels. The analyzer includes stations for automatically preparing a sample, incubating the sample, preforming an analyte isolation procedure, ascertaining the presence of a target analyte, and analyzing the amount of a target analyte. An automated receptacle transporting system moves the sample vessels from one station to the next. A method for performing an automated diagnostic assay includes an automated process for isolating and amplifying a target analyte, and, in one embodiment, a method for real-time monitoring of the amplification process.
Abstract:
An elevator for assembling a plurality of a large diameter pipe joints into a pipe string with a drilling rig is disclosed. The first one of a number of large diameter pipe joints is adapted to threadingly engage another large diameter pipe joint. The elevator is detachably securable to the upper end of the first joint, and is adapted to both lift and position the first joint while it is stabbed and tightened onto the string. The elevator is further adapted to co-operatively engage the rotary table of the drilling rig to rotatably tighten the second joint to the first joint as the second joint is added to the string.
Abstract:
An apparatus that may be removably attached to a golf cart for covering a bag storage area of the golf cart may include a top panel sized to cover the bag storage area, fasteners for releasably coupling the top panel to the golf cart, a first side panel and a second side panel each having a respective upper edge wherein a first segment of each respective upper edge is connected to a corresponding respective edge of the top panel, fasteners for releasably coupling the first side panel and the second side panel to the golf cart, a back panel having a rear upper edge and a pair of lateral edges, the back panel positioned between the first side panel and the second side panel wherein the back panel is connected along a portion of each lateral edge to a respective portion of the first side panel and the second side panel and wherein a portion of the rear upper edge is connected to the top panel, and fasteners for releasably coupling the top panel to at least one of the first side panel and the second side panel and the back panel such that a portion of the top panel may be lifted to define an opening for accessing the bag storage area of the golf cart.
Abstract:
A combined towel and golf club protection assembly comprises an outer water resistant sleeve closed along opposite sides and along a top side and having an open bottom end. An inner liner formed of a water absorbent material is attached to the sleeve. The sleeve resists water penetration to thereby keep the liner relatively dry. The assembly of sleeve and liner is reversible to position the liner on an outer surface whereby the assembly may function as a towel. A sealable slit shaped opening is formed in the sleeve to create access to a space between the sleeve and the liner. The opening is fitted with a zipper closure and has upper and lower extensions of the sleeve overlapping the zipper to minimize water intrusion. The assembly also includes a pair of aligned holes formed through the top side of the sleeve and liner, each of the holes including a grommet, and a support hook passing through the holes for attaching the assembly to a golf bag.
