Abstract:
A method for maintaining the alignment of the edges of a trocar defect by inserting into a defect a device for compressing the tissue such that part of the device is above while the other is below the defect, then pulling back on the device so that the part below the defect is up against the defect, then while holding the device below the defect in place, push down on the part above the wound so that it compresses the tissue. Finally, release the device from the insertion tool.
Abstract:
A biodegradable device for maintaining the alignment of the edges of a trocar defect, consisting of two bases coupled and offset by a connector. The first base to be positioned below the defect and a second base above. The first base has a threaded hole from its upper surface but not through the lower surface. The connector attached to the bases such that there is a hole aligned with the threaded hole in the first base allowing a device to mate with the threads in the first base. The second base has a hole aligned with the hole in the connector and wide enough to allow a device to mate with the threads in the first base. The device is arranged so the distance between the lower surface of the second base and upper surface of the first base holds the fascia around the trocar defect.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a printed circuit board assembly that includes a first printed circuit board portion having a first thickness and including at least one plated through hole selectively electrically interconnecting electrically conductive layers of the printed circuit board assembly. A second printed circuit board portion is also provided that has a second thickness which is less than the first thickness and further includes another a second plated through hole array exposed on a surface of the second printed circuit board portion.
Abstract:
The present invention provides biodegradable microspheres, compositions comprising a subject biodegradable microsphere, and methods of using a subject biodegradable microsphere for delivery of an agent to a site in an individual.

Abstract:
Method and apparatus for implementing multi-time scale adaptive routing in an IP network are described. One embodiment is a packet router that supports multi-time scale resource management. The packet router comprises a management agent that manages differentiated services policy information database operable to store policies on forwarding packets in the packet router; a resource server system that controls forwarding of packets in the packet router based on adaptive selections of policies from the policy information database; a flow measurement system that monitors packet flows through the packet router and generates statistic reports which affect the resource server systems selection of control; and a hardware forwarding engine that receives and forwards packets in response to the resource server system controls.
