Abstract:
A sump cover having a receptacle and an automatic drainage device disposed in the receptacle. The drainage device includes a base platform defining a valve opening in communication with an outlet of the receptacle, a support structure attached to the base platform, a valve stem assembly, and a float assembly. The support structure includes a guide portion defining a slot in alignment with the valve opening. The valve stem assembly is slidingly disposed in the slot and includes a sealing member for selectively closing the valve opening. The valve stem assembly is moveable into a closed position, sealing the valve opening, and moveable into an open position, unsealing the valve opening. The float assembly includes a pin to selectively lock the valve stem assembly in the closed position and releases the valve stem assembly to the open position when a certain amount of liquid is present in the receptacle.
Abstract:
A lightweight, mobile treadmill attachment designed for effective weight reduction, anti-gravity suspension is disclosed. The treadmill attachment provides a system in which an elastic cord is suspended within a frame that attaches to the arms of a treadmill. The elastic cord imparts an equalized lifting force throughout the suspension system by a rope camming system to a user to provide an effective weight loss and anti-gravity functionality.
Abstract:
An electronic device may include a finger sensor, a display, and a controller coupled to the finger sensor and the display. The controller may be configured to collect finger data from multiple portions of a user's finger as the user's finger is moved around on the finger sensor along a finger travel path. The controller may also be configured to generate on the display a finger movement trace corresponding to the finger movement travel path.
Abstract:
A respiratory protection device comprises a housing (1) defining a chamber within the housing. The chamber is open in a region which in use is adapted to be nearest to a user. A porous element (3) is located within the chamber and a communicating member (5) communicates with the porous element (3) within the chamber.
Abstract:
The centrally located ignition source in a combustion chamber is an electrical conductor spanning the general center of the combustion chamber, with a spark gap at the general center of the conductor. The device may be offset from the combustion chamber centerline, and/or the spark gap may be offset from the conductor center, as required. The centrally located ignition source is particularly well suited for use in an opposed piston engine having a rotary sleeve valve mechanism, with the conductor rotating with the sleeve valve and crossing the combustion chamber between the two pistons. An arcuate commutator section may be disposed upon the exterior of the rotary sleeve valve, with a contact finger making electrical contact between the electrical energy source and the commutator section to supply electrical energy to the ignition source. The device is also suitable for use in stationary installations, e.g., gas furnace combustors, etc.
Abstract:
Foam bedding products including viscoelastic foam having a high airflow value that do not feel hot to the person sleeping on the products. One product is a pillow having a contoured core having sufficient firmness to provide effective support for a user and a hyper soft viscoelastic foam shell surrounding the core having sufficient firmness to maintain the appearance of a conventional pillow when supporting only a pillowcase or other bed coverings. The core may be made of higher density viscoelastic foam or of a resilient foam. Another product may be a mattress topper with or without foam cores for body support carried within slabs of high airflow viscoelastic foam.
Abstract:
A token is manufactured using a combination of minting or casting operations and printing operations. The token comprises a metal base material that is minted or cast to the size and shape desired including embossed or debossed areas at selected locations on the token. In selected recessed or countersunk portions of the token, there are provided thin disks of material capable of carrying printed material such as single-colored or multi-colored pictures or indicia. The imprinted disk portions of the token are covered with a first protective coating and, optionally a second protective coating, that eliminates wear and tear on the printed areas of the token. Additionally or alternatively, the entire token can be covered with an outer coating to minimize wear and tear and preserve the unique designs carried by the token.
