Abstract:
Semiconductor die packages are disclosed. An exemplary semiconductor die package includes a premolded substrate. The premolded substrate can have a semiconductor die attached to it, and an encapsulating material may be disposed over the semiconductor die.
Abstract:
There is presently provided compounds of formula (I), which are useful as p-type semiconductor materials and in devices comprising such p-type semiconductor materials.
Abstract:
The invention provides a multi-language communication method, comprising: providing to each of the persons access to a plurality of language options; receiving from each of one or more of the persons an indication of a respective choice of language chosen by the respective person from the language options; storing the language choices in a database; and making the language choices accessible by one or more applications so that the applications can when operated selectively provide output to each respective person in the respective language choice.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for implementing biometrics-based access control to a restricted resource. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention is realized using a portable device. Specifically, in one embodiment, the portable device includes a microprocessor, a non-volatile memory coupled thereto, and a biometrics-based authentication module controlled by the microprocessor. Preferably, the biometrics technology used is fingerprint authentication technology. The authentication module is capable of registering a fingerprint upon first use of the portable device, storing an encoded version of the fingerprint in the non-volatile memory. Subsequently, the authentication module can read a person's fingerprint and reliably determine whether the fingerprint matches the registered fingerprint stored in the non-volatile memory. If a match is found, access to the restricted resource is granted to that person; otherwise, access is denied. Embodiments of the present invention thus provide a highly convenient, secured and reliable method and system for user authentication and access control which was not achievable in prior art password-based authentication approaches.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a chimeric polypeptide for reducing specific IgE binding to at least two house dust mite allergens in a subject, said chimeric polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence comprising sequences of said at least two house dust mite allergens and wherein upon exposure to said allergens, said reduced binding causes reduced allergic reaction to said allergens in said subject.
Abstract:
A portable data storage device has a non-volatile memory 3 for storing user data, an interface section 7 for receiving and transmitting data to a host, and a master control unit 1 for transferring data to and from the non-volatile memory 3. The portable data storage device further includes an integrated circuit 13 for generating a public/private key pair. The portable data storage device is arranged to transmit at least one of the keys out of the device. In different embodiments, the host can verify that the data it receives is correct, and the device can verify that the host has received the correct data.
Abstract:
An authentication system (10) to verify a password is provided. The authentication system includes a first storage unit (16) to store an authentication sequence (24) and a read-only memory unit (18) on which an authentication algorithm (26) is programmed. A microcontroller (20) is coupled to the first storage unit, the read-only memory unit and a web server. The microcontroller receives the password and executes the authentication algorithm to verify the password with the authentication sequence. A second storage unit (22) is coupled to the microcontroller to store data from the web server. Access to a second storage unit is permitted by the microcontroller only if the password has been verified.
Abstract:
Program clock references in first and second MPEG data streams are re-stamped in accordance with delays introduced into the first and second MPEG data streams. Accordingly, the program clock references in the first MPEG data stream are re-stamped according to a variable delay in the first MPEG data stream, and the program clock references in the second MPEG data stream are re-stamped according to a variable delay in the second MPEG data stream. The re-stamped program clock references in the second MPEG data stream are corrected according to a fixed delay in the second MPEG data stream. The first and second MPEG data streams are multiplexed, and the multiplexed first and second MPEG data streams are transmitted and received.
