Abstract:
A system for titrating a solution is provided. The system includes a robotic arm, a titrator, a solution pump, an infusion pump, a scale, and an Autonomous cup dryer Carousel/Carriage. The system further includes a computer having a memory and a processor. The computer may be a programmable logic controller. The processor of the computer activates the solution pump to pump a solution into a drip chamber, directs the robotic arm to place a cup on the scale, activates the infusion pump to drip the solution from the drip chamber into the cup until a threshold weight has been reached, and directs the robotic arm to transport the cup to the titrator.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods and apparatuses for the transmission of audio information from a bone-conduction headset to a user. The bone-conduction headset may be mounted on a glasses-style support structure. The bone-conduction transducer may be mounted near where the glasses-style support structure approach a wearer's ears. In one embodiment, an apparatus has a bone-conduction transducer with a diaphragm configured to vibrate based on a magnetic field. The magnetic field being based off an applied electric field. The apparatus may also have an anvil coupled to the diaphragm. The anvil may be configured to conduct the vibration from the bone-conduction transducer. Additionally, the anvil may be coupled to a metallic component. The metallic component may be configured to couple to a magnetic field created by the bone-conduction transducer.
Abstract:
Provided are systems and methods for remote collection, preservation, and analysis of computer-based evidence in the course of conducting a network-based forensics or electronic discovery service. The challenge is to collect and analyze Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in a forensically sound manner over public and private networks. This is achieved via network-based forensics that may be conducted via an end user computer communicating directly with one or more subject computers across public or private networks, or it may be achieved via a “cloud computing” model whereupon the end user obtains, from the Internet, temporary use of shared resources, software, and information for the purpose of conducting digital forensics and eDiscovery upon subject computers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to chemical compounds having a general formula I wherein A1-8, D′, L1, L2, R1, R6-8 and n are defined herein, and synthetic intermediates, which are capable of modulating various protein kinase receptor enzymes and, thereby, influencing various disease states and conditions related to the activities of such kinases. For example, the compounds are capable of modulating Aurora kinase thereby influencing the process of cell cycle and cell proliferation to treat cancer and cancer-related diseases. The invention also includes pharmaceutical compositions, including the compounds, and methods of treating disease states related to the activity of Aurora kinase.
Abstract:
An assembly for a rapidly-drying rectifying flame rod, having an insulator sleeve. The assembly may further incorporate a mechanical coupling attaching the flame rod to an end part which in turn may be hermetically coupled to an insulator. The insulator may be hermetically coupled to a conduit which may be hermetically coupled to an elongated tube. A conductor may go through the tube, conduit, insulator and end part. The flame rod may be connected to the conductor via the mechanical coupling and end part. A sheath having sealing and electrical insulating properties may be formed over at least a portion of the components. Hermetic couplings may be made with ordinary blazing or welding. The couplings may instead be made with high temperature brazing or welding which can withstand temperatures equal to or greater than 1500° F. At these temperatures, the sleeve on the flame rod and the sheath may be eliminated.

Abstract:
A method of processing a workpiece in a chamber with a reactive gas supplied to the chamber creating a chamber pressure including positioning the workpiece on a support in the chamber with a first face exposed to the reactive gas, supplying a non-reactive gas between the support and a second face of the workpiece, and controlling the differential gas pressure across the thickness of the workpiece.
Abstract:
An elevator door restrictor system for preventing an elevator door from being opened unless the elevator car is near a floor landing, utilizing battery backed electronics for sensing the presence of a building landing such that the system will continue to maintain the mechanism in the correct state, either locked or unlocked, even if the elevator car continues to move. Wherein even if the battery backup were to become completely discharged, the mechanism will remain in the last state, either locked or unlocked and prevent the elevator car door from being opened until an authorized person takes the appropriate step to move the car or open the car door.
Abstract:
A fence system which uses externally threaded connector rods, rails with externally threaded ends and internally threaded couplings to join the connector rods to the rails is described. A method for building the fence system is also provided.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for selectively coating the surfaces of objects are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a plurality of megasonic transducers which generate acoustical pressure waves in the megasonic frequency range in an upward direction and cause droplets of coating material to be expelled from a supply of the liquid coating material which is disposed above the transducers. The droplets travel in a generally upward direction toward the surface of the object to be coated which is held in an inverted, i.e., downward position.
