Abstract: A MEMS device and method of making same is disclosed. In one embodiment, a micro-switch includes a base assembly comprising a movable structure bearing a contact pad. The base assembly is wafer-scale bonded to a lid assembly comprising an activator and a signal path. The movable structure moves within a sealed cavity formed during the bonding process. The signal path includes an input line and an output line separated by a gap, which prevents signals from propagating through the micro-switch when the switch is deactivated. In operation, a signal is launched into the signal path. When the micro-switch is activated, a force is established by the actuator, which pulls a portion of the movable structure upwards towards the gap in the signal path, until the contact pad bridges the gap between the input line and output line, allowing the signal to propagate through the micro-switch. Prior to bonding, the MEMS structures are annealed on a first wafer and the conductive traces and other metals are annealed on a second wafer to allow each wafer to be processed separately using different processes, e.g., different annealing temperatures.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a new mechanism of video exportation which ensures that the process is done faster and that a single video can be exported to two or more destination at the same time. This document explains the steps involved in the creation of the video, processes involved in encoding, rendering, transmission/exportation, and playing the video. Figures are used in explaining or illustrating the flow of processes and showing the different devices used in accomplishing various activities in the exporting processes. The application will receive commands to perform the exporting from the destination. Overall, the application will be able to facilitate faster exportation of a video, almost twice the basic speed of the known video exportation systems and to multiple destinations unlike in exportation by the basic applications in use today.

Abstract: A light reflector comprised of a plurality of facets (16). Facet (16) has a reflective interior surface that concentrates and directs the light emitting from a light-stick (18). Facets (16) have exterior surfaces that can be imprinted with information. The plurality of facets (16) creates a large aperture (10). The concentrated and directed light travels through the large aperture (10). The light reflector has at a point end (12) an acceptance means and a holding means to position light-stick (18). The acceptance means is a plurality of slits (24) and a plurality of slit stops (22). The holding means is the frictional property of the reflector material. The holding means can be enhanced by the addition of an encircling band (20). The light reflector is a foldable, flexible, compactable device that can be repeatedly bent and manipulated without fracturing and separating along a plurality of facet edges (14). The light reflector can be laminated with a variety of plastic films on one surface, two surfaces or no surfaces.
