Abstract:
Because the device is small and lightweight it can save the user time and money by not having the user setup expensive and heavy audio gear to try and reproduce these sounds. The device will allow the user to quickly move the sounds in 3d space around the animal simulating sounds occurring in nature or space around them. Because the sounds can be reproduced at will, the user can find potential problem sounds and train them out of the animal before injury can occur.
Abstract:
A method of electronically displaying glyphs. The method includes receiving a glyph spacing, moving a first glyph toward a second glyph along an axis, identifying an intersection of a first axis coordinate of the first glyph with a second axis coordinate of the second glyph, and moving at least one of the glyphs along the axis to separate the first and second axis coordinates of the respective first and second glyphs by the glyph spacing.
Abstract:
A method and system is provided for detecting excessive interrupt processing for a processor. The method includes the operation of defining an interrupt processing period during which measuring of interrupts for a processor takes place. The amounts of time being spent by the processor in an interrupt context can then be measured during the interrupt processing period. A further operation is detecting an interrupt storm occurring for the processor based on the amounts of time spent by the processor in interrupt context during the interrupt processing period.
Abstract:
A system is disclosed for integrating electronic mail, voice mail, and fax mail in a universal mailbox. Message receivers may access their messages with a telephone or a computer regardless of the communication medium used by the message sender. Using a telephone, message receivers may playback voice mail, redirect fax mail, and “listen” to e-mail through a text-to-speech conversion process. Using a computer and modem, message receivers may playback voice mail, view fax mail, and read e-mail by accessing the universal mailbox via connection software. Message senders and receivers may choose from a variety of filter and forward options that allow them to manage their communications via the universal mailbox. Forwarding and conversion of messages is performed automatically. The options are used to define a set of rules to be applied to inbound and outbound messages so that messages are sent and received in accordance with the preferences of the senders and receivers.
Abstract:
A method and system for maintaining a desired service level for a processor receiving excessive interrupts. The method includes the operation of defining an interrupt processing period during which interrupts will be measured for a processor. The amounts of time spent by the processor during the interrupt processing period in interrupt context can be measured. Another operation is detecting an interrupt storm occurring for the processor based on the amounts of time spent by the processor in interrupt context. The interrupts received by the processor can then be restricted for a period of the processor's total processing time when an interrupt storm has been detected.

Abstract:
A system is disclosed for integrated electronic mail, voice mail, and fax mail messaging. A common message format is defined for use by an electronic mail service and a telecommunications service so electronic mail messages that may include voice and fax mail attachments may be exchanged between the services. Message senders and receivers may choose from a variety of filter and forward options that allow them to manage their communications and specify a preference for receiving messages at the electronic mail or telecommunications service. Forwarding and conversion of messages is performed automatically. The options are used to define a set of rules to be applied to inbound and outbound messages so that messages are sent and received in accordance with the preferences of the senders and receivers.
Abstract:
A display rack for holding a number of magnetic measuring/gaging devices in a releasable manner is provided. The rack has a rigid, vertically planar, magnetically-attractable holder, a rigid, horizontal tray secured to the lower edge of the holder and configured to engage one of the ends of each device, and an attachment member secured to the rear edge of the holder for mounting the rack to a display structure. Preferably, the measuring/gaging devices are torpedo levels. A label-plate can be attached to the front edge of the holder. The display rack in certain embodiments is capable of attachment to either a cross-bar or a pegboard. In other embodiments, the display rack has two holder-plates and a stand member for engaging a display surface.
