Abstract: A composite container is provided where FRP layers are formed by winding FRP around a metal liner so that the dome sections are reinforced while limiting an increase in the weight. The FRP layers include a hoop layer that covers the entirety of the cylindrical section in hoop winding, and dome section reinforcing layers and that also cover as least the portions of the cylindrical section near the dome sections and. In the dome section reinforcing layers and, FRP are wound in helical form in such a manner that the orientation angle of the FRP over the cylindrical section relative to the direction of the axis of the liner continuously changes towards the center of the cylindrical section, and thus, the weight of FRP near the center of the cylindrical section is reduced.

Abstract: In a high-pressure tank 1 in which a gas discharge section 5 is extended from one end of a cylindrical section 2 through a dome section 4 by plastically deforming a short hollow cylindrical blank of metal, the gas discharge section 5 is set at a thickness at least three times that of the cylindrical section 2, and the dome section 4 is gradually increased in thickness from that of the cylindrical section 2 to that of the gas discharge section 5 in proceeding from the cylindrical section 2 to the gas discharge section 5. Thereby, a high-pressure tank capable of withstanding higher pressures than used at the present time is provided easily and at low cost.

Abstract: To downsize a high-pressure tank apparatus comprising: a high-pressure tank in which high-pressure gas is charged; and a valve mechanism including a regulator valve for reducing the gas pressure in the tank, to prevent damage to the valve mechanism, and to facilitate the handling of the valve mechanism and the like, the valve mechanism is provided at a gas outlet of the high-pressure tank to locate inside of the tank. The valve mechanism includes a capsule fixedly attached to the gas outlet in a gas-tight manner to face the inside of the high-pressure tank. Within the capsule, a shut-off valve for providing and interrupting communication between the inside and outside of the tank by its opening and closing, respectively, and a regulator valve for reducing the pressure of the high-pressure gas in the tank are disposed.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a container capable of stably supporting an internal structure unit while effectively suppressing the occurrence of damage, and a method for manufacturing the container.
The container includes: a container main unit that includes a cylindrical base portion, dome portions that have a dome-like shape and are provided at both ends of the base portion, and a tubular first ferrule portion and a tubular second ferrule portion that have communicating holes formed at top portions of the respective dome portions to connect the inside and the outside, and are formed along the axis of the base portion; and an internal structure unit that is housed in the container main unit. The internal structure unit includes a free shaft portion provided on one end side along the axis of the base portion, and a fixed shaft portion provided on the other end side along the axis of the base portion. The free shaft portion is supported on the side of the first ferrule portion so as to be movable along the axis of the base portion. The fixed shaft portion is secured and supported in the communicating hole in the second ferrule portion via an engaging portion formed on the surface of the fixed shaft portion. At least part of the inner peripheral surface of the communicating hole in the second ferrule portion includes a plastically deformable portion to be engaged with the engaging portion.-

Abstract: A cylindrical reinforcing collar is fitted onto a cylindrical gas discharge section of a tank body and then engaged integrally on the exterior of the tank body between the cylindrical gas discharge section and the dome section by shrink fitting. This provides, easily and inexpensively, a high-pressure tank capable of withstanding high pressures of 35 to 75 MPa while keeping its lightness in weight.
