Abstract:
A method, computer program product, and computing system for monitoring, via a monitoring server, attributes of computer systems in communication with the monitoring server. A graphical user interface may display selectable attributes of the computer systems monitored by the monitoring server. The computer systems may be sorted in a tree based upon, at least in part, one or more selected attributes of the computer systems monitored by the monitoring server.
Abstract:
A value transfer system which allows value to be transferred between electronic purses comprises computer which controls the loading of purses with value and the redemption of value from purses, a special bulk purse or purses and a value meter securely linked thereto which registers the total net value issued to the bulk purse or purses. Draw-down of value and redemption of value transactions are effected with the bulk purses.

Abstract:
A water outlet (10) for an ablutionary device has a member which is moved to open and close a vent into the body of the outlet (10). In one embodiment, the outlet (10) is a shower head (10A) having a discharge opening (26) which serves as the vent. A perforate shower plate (12A) located in the opening closes the vent while the shower (10A) is in operation so that water issues from the opening (past the plate (12A)) as a spray. When the water supply is turned off the shower plate (12A) is moved out of the opening (26) to open an annular vent (14A) into the interior of the body of the shower head (10A) to aid drying of the interior. When the water supply is turned on the plate (12A) is moved back into the opening (26) to close the vent (14A).
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to long-fiber-reinforced two-phase incompatible matrix-fiber composites which include fibers wetted completely by an incompatible mixture of thermoplastic materials. The resin mixture generally includes a polyester oligomer/polymer combination and a high polymer thermoplastic resin. The composites of the disclosure exhibit a reduced level of fiber attrition after melt-processing into articles, and show substantial improvements in mechanical properties.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a system and method for executing a multi-user virtual sports industry simulation. In an embodiment, the system comprising means for receiving a plurality of user-controllable inputs relating to each user's economic strategy, means for receiving a plurality of user-controllable inputs relating to each user's skill strategy, means for receiving a plurality of system-controlled inputs; means for accessing a plurality of system-defined rules, and a results calculator for deterministically calculating a match result as between users in dependence upon the plurality of user-controllable inputs, system-controlled inputs, and system-defined rules. The system may further comprise means for providing feedback to at least one of a user's economic strategy and skill strategy based on the calculated match result.
Abstract:
A turbine bucket and wheelpost assembly reduces the number of buckets in the third stage of the turbine from ninety-two to ninety while reducing stresses at the assembly points of the buckets and wheelposts. The buckets and wheelposts are formed with complementary fillets and tangs that provide for the insertion of the bucket into the broach slot between two wheelposts. The angles of the fillets on both the bucket and wheelpost range from 50° to 59°. The upper surface of the wheelpost is scalloped to reduce weight and the tangs and fillets of both the bucket and wheelpost are formed from curved and straight surfaces to reduce stresses on the assembly.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are disclosed for suppressing interference in a radio frequency (RF) communication system using active shielding techniques. An opposing neutralizing signal is applied to actively neutralize stray signals in a microwave communication environment. An interfering or stray signal is detected using a sensing antenna, and the opposing neutralizing signal is generated in response thereto. The opposing neutralizing signal is applied to a signal neutralizing shield to shield any desired components or devices. The opposing neutralizing signal is approximately 180 degrees out of phase, and of equal magnitude to the detected interfering signal. A phase shifter/null feedback device receives the detected stray signal, if any, and adaptively adjusts the phase and magnitude of the opposing neutralizing signal. In one embodiment, the phase shifter/null feedback device includes an integrator that generates a DC value that is proportional to the energy of the interfering signal. The DC value is applied to a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) using known feedback techniques to adjust the phase or magnitude, or both, of the opposing neutralizing signal and to thereby minimize the DC value.
Abstract:
A system for presenting performance and system management data on a computer monitor. The system comprises a network, one or more presentation views, a data server, and a controller. The network interconnects a plurality of computer systems. The presentation views are defined in a memory of one of the computer systems in the network, receive commands for collecting selected performance data on the presentation view's associated computer system, and collect and present the selected performance data. The data server is executed by one of the computer systems in the network, generates requests for the selected performance data, and stores the collected selected performance data returned in response to the requests. The controller is executed by one of the computer systems in the network, translates the requests generated by the data server into the commands for the presentation views, transmits the commands to the presentation views, and forwards the collected performance data to the data server for storage.
