Abstract:
A stabilized thermoplastic resin composition is disclosed which contains: structural units derived from at least one substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate, at least one substituted or unsubstituted polyester, a cyclo iminoether containing compound and an additive. Also disclosed is a stabilized thermoplastic resin composition containing structural units derived from at least one substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate, at least one substituted or unsubstituted polyester, a cyclo iminoether containing compound, a quencher and an additive. In addition the composition disclosed possess good optical properties, thermal properties and stability.

A stabilized thermoplastic resin composition is disclosed which comprises structural units derived at least one substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate, at least one substituted or unsubstituted polyester and a combination of at least two quenchers, wherein said quencher is selected from a group consisting of phosphorus compound, carboxylic acid, derivates of carboxylic acids, epoxy functional polymers and boron compound. Also disclosed is a stabilized thermoplastic resin composition comprising: structural units derived at least one substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate, at least one substituted or unsubstituted polyester, an epoxy functional polymers and a combination of at least one quenchers, wherein said quencher is selected from a group consisting of phosphorus compounds, carboxylic acid compounds, polyols, and boron compounds. In addition the composition disclosed possess good optical properties, thermal properties and stability.

A high flow miscible thermoplastic resin composition is disclosed which comprises structural units derived from substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate and substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic polyester. Also disclosed is a high flow and miscible thermoplastic resin composition that comprises of structural units derived from substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate and substituted or unsubstituted low molecular weight aliphatic polyester. In addition the composition disclosed possess good optical and thermal properties and good flow.

An optically clear thermoplastic resin composition is disclosed which comprises structural units derived from substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate and substituted or unsubstituted polyester, wherein said polyester comprises structural units derived from terephthalic acid and a mixture of 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol and ethylene glycol, wherein said ethylene glycol is greater than about 60 mole percent based on total moles of 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol and ethylene glycol. In addition the composition disclosed possess good environmental stress cracking resistance, flow and thermal properties.

A composition comprising polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate, organopolysiloxane-polycarbonate block copolymer, and epoxy-functional block copolymer for providing an improved balance of properties, including heat aging performance in combination with impact resistance. Articles molded from the composition are advantageously useful for automotive applications.

A high flow polyester composition is disclosed, which comprises at least one polyester and at least one flow enhancing ingredient of structure, I, where, R1═NH2 or CH2OH; R2═CH3, CH3CH2 or CH2OH or any of C1-C20 alkyl group which may have one or more hydroxy group substituent, C3-C20 cycloalkyl group, C6-C20 aryl group, C1-C20 alkoxy group which may have one or more hydroxy group substituent or C6-C20 aryloxy group. A good balance of flowability and mechanical properties is obtained by controlling the amount of the said flow-enhancing ingredient. The composition further comprises reinforcing fillers, impact modifiers, a property-enhancing thermoplastic such as polycarbonate and flame retardant chemicals. The compositions are suitable for making automotive, electric and electronic parts.

An optically clear thermoplastic resin composition consisting essentially of: structural units derived at least one substituted or unsubstituted polycarbonate, at least greater than 30 weight percent of a substituted or unsubstituted polyester, a modified polycarbonate, an impact modifier having a refractive index in the range between about 1.51 and about 1.56 and an additive is disclosed. The composition possess good optical properties, flow, stability and mechanical property. Also disclosed is a process to prepare these compositions and articles therefrom.
