Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a dye preparation from madder root, comprising extraction of madder root in water at a temperature below 70-75° C., preferably below 65° C., while providing oxygen to the reaction mixture of madder root in water to obtain the dye preparation and to the dye preparation thus obtained.
Abstract:
Dry products in flake or granulate form suitable as a paste base may be obtained by drying a mixture, containing approximately 30 to 80% by weight of water, of from(a) 30 to 95% by weight of carboxymethylated and/or alkoxylated starch,(b) 3 to 40% by weight of a cellulose ether, and(c) 2 to 40% by weight of a water-dispersible polymer or water-soluble polymer, and(d) optionally, conventional additives, such as preservatives, wetting agents, fillers and the like,in a thin layer on a surface heated to 80.degree. to 200.degree. C. The dry products obtained do not undergo physical separation and are readily dispersible or self-dispersible in water.
Abstract:
The invention relates to copolymers of esters of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid with unbranched alcohols that contain at least 16 C atoms, and maleic anhydride, and also the use of these copolymers as crystallization inhibitors in paraffin-bearing crude oils.
Abstract:
The invention refers to crystallization inhibitor compositions, which contain as the active component a copolymer of 4-vinyl pyridine and of acrylic acid esters, dispersed in an aqueous medium. They are suitable for use in paraffinic oils to prevent the deposition of solid paraffin on walls of containers and pipelines. While the known compositions which contain the same active component are not suitable for use under field conditions due to their high solidification temperature, the novel compositions can be used at temperatures as low as -15.degree. C. and the dispersions are quite stable on storage and have low viscosity.
