Abstract: A process for forging hollow bodies comprising preforming the hollow body, sealing the internal cavity of the body, applying isostatic fluid pressure to the interior and exterior surfaces of the body prior to final deformation, and increasing the pressure on one of the surfaces relative to the opposing surface to plastically deform the body to predetermined dimensions.
