Abstract: The method of converting nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide which includes maintaining the nitrogen dioxide at a temperature from about 40*C to about 130*C. The nitrogen dioxide is exposed to ultraviolet radiation, whereby the nitrogen dioxide is converted to nitric oxide. A method of measuring nitrogen dioxide utilizing this conversion is also disclosed.
