    Abstract: An ear thermometer includes a probe including an infrared sensor unit for measuring a temperature of an eardrum of an ear of a temperature measurement target parson in a non-contact manner, the probe attached to an ear hole of the temperature measurement target parson. The probe includes a probe body inserted into the ear hole of the temperature measurement target parson, a housing for supporting the probe body; and an in-ear type earpiece attached to the probe body and abutting on an inside of the ear hole of the temperature measurement target person. The infrared sensor unit includes a first sensor and a second sensor arranged in the probe body and spaced apart by a predetermined distance along a direction substantially orthogonal to the eardrum when the probe body is inserted into the ear hole of the temperature measurement target person.

    Abstract: A thermometer includes a probe to be fitted into an ear of a patient, the probe having an infrared sensor for measuring the temperature of an eardrum of the ear of the patient in a non-contact manner, a signal cable connected to the infrared sensor and drawn out of the probe, a gripping part provided in the probe to be gripped when the probe is inserted inside a tragus of the ear, and a groove portion provided in the gripping part to hold the signal cable in a curved state and to allow a curved portion of the signal cable to fit in and along a cavum conchae of the ear.

    Abstract: An infrared thermometer for measuring a body temperature in no contact with a human body includes: a main unit incorporating an infrared sensor; a distance sensor detecting a distance between the main unit and the human body when the main unit approaches the human body; and a controller for calculating the body temperature based on quantity of infrared from the infrared sensor when the distance sensor detects that the distance between the main unit and the human body is within a predetermined distance. The distance sensor includes: a light source; a projector lens for projecting light of the light source toward the human body; a light receiving sensor; and a light receiving lens that allows the light receiving sensor to receive return light of the light, which is obtained as a result of being reflected by the human body, when the main unit is located within the predetermined distance.

    Abstract: An infrared thermometer includes a proximity sensor, an infrared sensor and a micro controller unit. The micro controller unit determines whether or not the infrared thermometer has contact with an object to be measured, using the proximity sensor. The micro controller unit measures the amount of infrared radiation using the infrared sensor at a time when determining that the infrared thermometer has contact with the object to be measured. The micro controller unit calculates a temperature of the object to be measured, based on the amount of infrared radiation.
