Abstract: A system, including a roofing membrane installed above the roofing substrate, where the roofing membrane includes a polysiloxane layer, where the polysiloxane layer is an uppermost surface of the roofing membrane installed above the roofing substrate, a second layer, where the second layer includes a metal, and a reinforcement layer, where the second layer is between the polysiloxane layer and the reinforcement layer, where the second layer has at least one of the following: a thickness, a type of metal, a percentage of area of the polysiloxane layer covered by the second layer, or any combination thereof, sufficient to reduce by at least 65% a static charge on the polysiloxane layer when compared to a control roofing membrane without the second layer.

Abstract: A roofing system includes a roofing membrane. The roofing membrane has a surface energy of 40 mN/m or less. The roofing system includes a roofing substrate. The roofing system includes an adhesive disposed between the roofing membrane and the roofing substrate. The adhesive includes a styrenic block copolymer. The styrenic block copolymer is present in an amount of 0.5 wt. % to 30 wt. % based on a total weight of the adhesive. The adhesive includes asphalt. The asphalt is present in an amount of 70 wt. % to 99.5 wt. % based on the total weight of the adhesive. A ratio of the styrenic block copolymer to the asphalt in the adhesive is 1:11 to 1:3.

Abstract: This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roll comprising a roofing material. The roofing material includes a substrate having a first side and a second side, and a film layer attached to at least one of the first side or the second side of the substrate, the film layer comprising a polymer and having a thickness of 0.5 mils to 100 mils. A single layer of the roofing material achieves a Class A rating for steep slope roofing systems when tested according to UL 790 and/or ASTM E-108 Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Roof Coverings. This invention, in embodiments, further relates to a roofing material and a steep slope roofing system.

Abstract: Silicone roofing materials are provided. A roofing material comprises at least one of a plurality of particles, a silicone coating, a substrate, an adhesive layer, a release liner, or any combination thereof. The substrate is located between the silicone coating and the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is located between the substrate and the release liner. The release liner covers at least a portion of the adhesive layer. The plurality of particles covers at least a portion of a surface of the silicone coating. Each of the plurality of particles has a surface. When the roofing material is installed on a roofing substrate, at least a portion of the surface of the plurality of particles is exposed to an environment. Related systems and related methods are also provided.
