Abstract: Medical devices and methods of using medical devices are disclosed. An example tissue engagement device includes a first actuation member including a body coupled to a first jaw and a second jaw at a pivot point, wherein the body is designed to shift between a first configuration and a first compressed configuration and a second actuation member coupled to the first actuation member at the pivot point and at a fixation point, wherein the second actuation member is designed to shift between a second configuration and a second compressed configuration. Further, shifting the first actuation member from the first configuration to the first compressed configuration, shifting the second actuation member from the second configuration to the second compressed configuration, or both, shifts the first jaw and the second jaw between a closed configuration and an open configuration.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to tissue traction devices and systems. In one example, a tissue tensioning system may include a filament having a first end comprising an attachment member, a second end, and a length therebetween extendable externally along a catheter. A first tissue fastener may be engageable with the attachment member and with a target tissue. The second end of the filament may be translatable to adjust a tensional force along the filament.

Abstract: A medical device includes a mounting structure that is adapted to be secured to a distal end of an endoscope. A first suture arm is pivotably secured to the mounting structure and is adapted to releasably secure a needle that is adapted to puncture tissue while accommodating a suture. A second suture arm is pivotably secured to the mounting structure and is adapted to releasably secure the needle. The first suture arm and the second suture arm cooperate to pass the needle back and forth therebetween along an arcuate path.

Abstract: A medical device including an attachment device having a longitudinal axis, a pivot arm having a first end pivotally attached to the attachment device, an end effector pivotally attached to a second end of the pivot arm and configured to move from a first configuration to a second configuration, and a longitudinally extending body attached to a proximal end of the end effector. Movement of the longitudinally extending body in a proximal direction rotates the end effector from the first configuration to the second configuration, the end effector is approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the attachment device in the first configuration, and the end effector is angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the attachment device in the second configuration.
