Abstract: This disclosure provides design, material, manufacturing method, and use alternatives for medical devices. An example medical device may include a medical device for delivery of a surgical closure member. The medical device includes an elongate tubular member having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therein. The elongate tubular member is adapted to be delivered through the working channel of an endoscope and the lumen is adapted to receive a surgical closure member. The medical device also includes a tissue support extending from the distal end of the elongate tubular member. The tissue support includes a support surface and the support surface is adapted to support tissue as a surgical closure member engages the tissue thereon.

Abstract: A device for causing hemostasis includes a sheet of mesh stretchable between an expanded and a retracted configuration, a size of the sheet in the retracted configuration being selected to cover a target tissue site; a spring mechanism coupled to the mesh, the spring mechanism moving between an expanded configuration and a retracted configuration when the mesh is moved between the expanded and retracted configurations; and a plurality of hooks coupled to the mesh and oriented to extend into tissue to lock the mesh in position when the mesh is placed in a desired position over the target tissue site in the expanded configuration. The hooks are lockingly engaging the target tissue so that, after the hooks have lockingly engaged the tissue, the spring mechanism reverts to the retracted configuration drawing the engaged portions of tissue radially inward.

Abstract: A device for collecting a tissue sample includes an outer sheath extending from a proximal end to a distal end and including a lumen extending therethrough. The device also includes a needle movably housed within the outer sheath. The needle extends from a proximal end to a serrated distal end and including a channel extending therethrough. The needle is longitudinally movable relative to the outer sheath between an insertion configuration, in which the distal end of the needle is proximal of the distal end of the outer sheath, and a tissue collecting configuration, in which the distal end of the needle extends distally past the distal end of the outer sheath to penetrate tissue and collect a tissue sample in the channel. Abstract: The present disclosure pertain to methods of tissue approximation of a tissue opening in a tissue wall of a body lumen. The method comprises pushing a suitable device through the tissue wall near at least one edge of the opening and pulling opposing edges of the tissue opening nearer to one another or into contact with one another. Also described are devices and kits that are useful for approximation of a tissue opening in a tissue wall of a body lumen.
