The electronic device includes: a communication unit configured to connect the electronic device to the network; a management unit configured to be capable of managing permission state information in a state where the electronic device is not connected to the network by the communication unit, the permission state information indicating whether transmission of device information from the electronic device is permitted by a user; and a processing unit configured to perform a process for transmitting the device information to the management server in a state where the electronic device is connected to the network by the communication unit in a case where the permission state information indicates that the transmission of the device information is permitted by the user.
