Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method are provided to cause a controlled device and a controlling terminal to operate in collaboration with each other. A server apparatus stores in advance a plurality of sets of collaboration information which causes the controlled device and the controlling terminal to operate in collaboration with each other. The plurality of sets of collaboration information is respectively stored in association with a plurality of controlled apparatuses different from one another in type. When the controlling terminal requests the server apparatus to send the collaboration information designating the type of the controlled device, the server apparatus sends to the controlling terminal the collaboration information corresponding to the type of the controlled device. The controlled device and the controlling terminal operate in collaboration with each other using the collaboration information.

A printing device includes a housing, a print head, a scanner, and a processor. The print head includes print elements arranged linearly in a set direction in the housing. The scanner is disposed ahead of the print head in a scan direction that intersects the set direction and is a direction in which the housing is moved and acquires an image of a print medium. When determining that the image acquired by the scanner includes a reference pattern that serves as a reference of an intended position at which a print subject is to be printed, The processor controls the print head to print the print subject at the intended position that is a set distance away from a position of the reference pattern in the scan direction and is adjusted in the set direction based on the position of the reference pattern.

A printing device includes a print head that prints an image on a print medium while moving relatively to the print medium, a sensor that detects an amount of movement and a moving direction of a body of the printing device that are relative to the print medium, and a processor, wherein the processor causes the print head to execute printing of a first image according to the amount of movement when the moving direction that is detected by the sensor is a first direction, determines whether the body is separated from the print medium based on a detection result of the sensor after printing of the first image is finished, and causes the print head to execute printing of a second image according to the amount of movement when, after separation is determined, the sensor detects movement in a second direction that is a direction different from the first direction.

A printer prints on a printing medium as the printer is moved. The printer includes a printing unit, a detector, and a controller. The printing unit prints an image on the printing medium. The detector detects a region on the printing medium that is not suitable to be printed on by the printing unit. The controller makes the printing unit stop printing when the detector detects the region on the printing medium that is not suitable to be printed on while the printing unit is printing.
