Abstract: Techniques are presented herein to enable a first device participating in a conference session to adapt its displayed content being shared from a second device that has a larger display and can therefore display a larger area of content than the first device is capable of displaying. The first device has a first display and displays a portion of content being displayed on a second display of the second device that is being shared with the first device during an online conference session. The first device detects when a first change has occurred in the content that is outside of the portion displayed on the first display. A graphical element is displayed on the first display, the graphical element indicating that the first change has occurred in the content outside of the portion being displayed on the first device.

Abstract: In an example, a mobile device such as a tablet, phone, or similar, is configured for use with a virtual conference software provided by a virtual conference server. The mobile device is configured to receive one or more triggers such as battery-below-threshold, switch to a low-bandwidth data network, signal-below-threshold, switch to hands-free mode, switch to a short-range transceiver, lock screen, etc. Upon receiving the trigger, the mobile device enters a reduced-functionality state, where at least part of the virtual conference stream is disabled.

Abstract: Techniques to enable an attendee device in an online conference session to view display content different from display content displayed on a host device. In one embodiment a method is provided in which display content that is to be shared with at least one attendee device in an online conference session is captured from a host device. An area containing blank space in the display content is identified. The display content is compacted by removing the area containing the blank space from the display content to obtain compacted content. The compacted content is composed to obtain a composed image configured to be shared with the attendee device, and the composed image is thereafter shared with the attendee device.

Abstract: An attendee device in an online conference session views a shared application window in a full screen mode. The attendee device receives data for content being shared by a host device, including at least one application window at a first resolution. The attendee device receives an input to enter a full screen mode for one of the application windows and determines whether displaying that application window at a second resolution for the full screen mode requires the image data to be magnified. When displaying the application window at the second resolution requires magnified image data, the attendee device requests the magnified image data from the meeting server facilitating the conference session. The meeting server provides the magnified image data to the attendee device, and the attendee device displays the application window in full screen mode using the magnified image data.

Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to enable a meeting participant/attendee at a first endpoint device in an online/web-based meeting/conference to acquire shared content with high resolution. The first endpoint device receives an initial image of content shared by a second endpoint in the online/web-based meeting/conference.
