Abstract: The application relates to a camshaft carrier for supporting a camshaft, an engine system, and a method of assembly. An engine system includes a cylinder block, a cylinder head, a camshaft carrier, a camshaft, and a fuel injector assembly. The cylinder head is coupled to the cylinder block and defines at least one of an inlet passage or an exhaust passage therein. The camshaft carrier is coupled to the cylinder head and the camshaft is coupled to the camshaft carrier. The fuel injector assembly is coupled to the camshaft carrier and extends through a carrier sidewall of the camshaft carrier.
