Abstract: A thermo-bonded non-woven fibrous wipe material is described, in which at least some of the fibres are regenerated plant-protein fibres. Also described is a method of making such a thermo-bonded fibrous non-woven wipe material, comprising the steps of forming a non-woven web of fibres, the web containing heat-sensitive material, and applying heat to the web to melt the heat-sensitive material and thereby cause fibres in the web to be bonded together; wherein at least some of the fibres are regenerated plant-protein fibres.
