    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an antenna assembly, which comprises: a feeder panel; an array of radiating elements mounted on the feeder panel; an array of parasitic elements mounted on the feeder panel, in which, at least a portion of the radiating elements in the array of radiating elements are surrounded by a plurality of spaced-apart parasitic elements, respectively, and at least a portion of the parasitic elements in the array of parasitic elements each comprise a first parasitic subcomponent extending in a first direction and a second parasitic subcomponent extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. In addition, the present disclosure also relates to a base station antenna comprising the antenna assembly. This is capable of effectively improving the cross-polarization performance of the base station antenna and improving the radiation boundary of the base station antenna.

    Abstract: A base station antenna includes a column of radiating elements comprising first and second sets of radiating elements, each radiating element being configured to operate in a first frequency band that has first and second sub-bands. The second set of radiating elements is located above and/or below the first set of radiating elements. The antenna further includes a feeding assembly that is configured to feed first RF signals that are in the first sub-band and second RF signals that are in the second sub-band to the column of radiating elements, where the feeding assembly is configured to partially attenuate sub-components of the second RF signals that are fed to the second set of radiating elements more than sub-components of the first RF signals that are fed to the second set of radiating elements.

    Abstract: A radiating element includes a feed rod and a radiator mounted on the feed rod. The radiator includes a dielectric substrate, a first dipole arranged along a first axis and including a first dipole arm and a second dipole arm, and a second dipole arranged along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis and including a third dipole arm and a fourth dipole arm. Each dipole arm includes a closed conductive segment provided on the dielectric substrate and conductive patches are respectively provided on the dielectric substrate within boundaries defined by the closed conductive segment of each dipole arm. The dielectric substrate with the closed conductive segments and conductive patches constitutes a frequency selective surface which is configured to allow radiation in a frequency range higher than the operating frequency range of the radiating element to pass.

    Abstract: A patch radiating element that includes a feeder pillar and a patch radiator mounted on the feeder pillar. The patch radiator includes a first patch portion extending in a first direction and a second patch portion extending from an outer end portion of the first patch portion in a second direction. The second direction is different from the first direction. As a result, a space interval between adjacent patch radiating elements can be increased, thereby improving the isolation between the adjacent patch radiating elements so that beamforming of an antenna can be optimized.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a base station antenna, comprising: a plurality of first radiating elements that are arranged as a first vertically-extending array; a plurality of second radiating elements that are arranged as a second vertically-extending array, where the second radiating elements are staggered in the vertical direction with respect to the first radiating elements; wherein phase centers in an azimuth plane for first sub-arrays of the first radiating elements are substantially the same as phase centers in the azimuth plane for respective third sub-arrays of the second radiating elements, and wherein the first sub-arrays each have a first number of first radiating elements and the third sub-arrays each have a second number of second radiating elements, the first number being different than the second number. This can effectively improve the pattern of the base station antenna.
