Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for providing image data (24) from a camera system (3) for a motor vehicle (1), wherein the camera system (3) includes at least one camera, in particular a plenoptic camera (4), including a lens (6) and a sensor array (7), in which electromagnetic radiation (15, 17, 19, 21) is captured by means of the sensor array (7) and image data (24) of an environmental region (11) of the motor vehicle (1) is provided based on the captured electromagnetic radiation (15, 17, 19, 21) and the image data (24) is evaluated by means of an evaluation device (5), wherein a direction of incidence of the electromagnetic radiation (15, 17, 19, 21) on the sensor array (7) is determined by the evaluation device (5) based on the image data (24) provided by the sensor array (7) and the image data (24) is adapted by means of the evaluation device (5) depending on the determined direction of incidence.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a camera assembly, in which a first camera and a second camera capture images (36, 42). Respective fields of view of the two cameras overlap at least in a partial region (24). At least in an image (36) captured by the first camera, at least one contamination region (38) including a plurality of pixels is detected within the partial region (24). Thereupon, data values specifying the respective transparency of the pixels in the at least one contamination region (38) are varied with respect to respective reference values of transparency, wherein those reference values increase in the partial region (24) towards an edge (28) of the respective images upon superimposition of the images. Furthermore, the invention relates to a camera assembly.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a camera (3, 4) of a motor vehicle (1), wherein a cover (10, 11) is moved between an operating position, in which the camera (3, 4) provides images of an environmental region (12, 13) of the motor vehicle (1), and a covering position, in which the cover (10, 11) covers the camera (3, 4) against the environmental region (12, 13). The current brightness level of a scene of the camera (3, 4) is acquired by means of the camera (3, 4); in the operating position of the cover (10, 11), at least one operating parameter of the camera (3, 4) is adjusted depending on the current brightness level of the scene; a movement operation of the cover (10, 11) from the operating position into the covering position is acquired by the camera (3, 4); and after acquiring the movement operation, the at least one operating parameter is adjusted to a value independent of the current brightness level of the scene acquired by the camera (3, 4), in particular whilst maintaining an activated operating state of the camera (3, 4).
Abstract:
