    Abstract: A backlight module includes a light guide element including first optical microstructures and second optical microstructures. An angle value of an angle of the first optical microstructures is V1. When the second optical microstructures are respectively recessed into or protrude from a bottom surface, a projection of each sub-optical microstructure on a reference plane has a peak point closest or to farthest from a light emitting surface and a first valley point and a second valley point farthest from or closest to the light emitting surface, a height difference between the peak point and the first valley point or the second valley point is ΔH, a length difference between the peak point and the first valley point or the second valley point is ΔL, and tan−1(ΔH/ΔL) is V2, where V2>0 and V2≤0.5·V1.

    Abstract: An electrically controllable viewing angle switch device is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, multiple spacers, and multiple light-shielding patterns. The first substrate and the second substrate are overlapped with each other. The liquid crystal layer and the multiple spacers are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The multiple light-shielding patterns are disposed on the second substrate. The orthographic projection area of each spacer on the second substrate is less than or equal to the orthographic projection area of each light-shielding pattern on the second substrate. The orthographic projection of each spacer on the second substrate is located within the orthographic projection of each light-shielding pattern on the second substrate. A display apparatus using an electrically controllable viewing angle switch device is also provided, in which light leakage near the spacer is extremely slight.

    Abstract: A viewing angle switch module includes a viewing angle limiter, a first electronically controlled viewing angle switch, a second electronically controlled viewing angle switch, a first polarizer, and a second polarizer. The viewing angle limiter has an absorption axis, and an axial direction of the absorption axis is parallel to a thickness direction of the viewing angle limiter. The viewing angle limiter, the first electronically controlled viewing angle switch, the first polarizer, the second electronically controlled viewing angle switch, and the second polarizer are overlapped. An axial direction of a first absorption axis of the first polarizer is parallel to an axial direction of a second absorption axis of the second polarizer. A display apparatus adopting the viewing angle switch module is also provided. The viewing angle switch module and the display apparatus provided by the invention have better light energy utilization rate.

    Abstract: A display device includes a view angle switching module and a display module. The view angle switching module includes a first polarizer and a view angle adjustment layer. The display module and the view angle switching module are overlapped. The display module includes a display layer and a second polarizer. The view angle adjustment layer is located between the first polarizer and the second polarizer. An average degree of polarization of the first polarizer for light with a wavelength falling within a first wavelength band is less than an average degree of polarization of the second polarizer for the light with the wavelength falling within the first wavelength band. The display device may provide a privacy function and images with good image quality.

    Abstract: A viewing angle control device including a plurality of first polarizing portions and a plurality of transmissive portions is provided. The first polarizing portions are arranged along a first direction and extended in a second direction. The transmissive portions and the first polarizing portions are alternately arranged. Each of the first polarizing portions has a width in the first direction and a height in a direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. A ratio of the height to the width of the first polarizing portion is greater than 1. A display apparatus adopting the viewing angle control device is also provided. The viewing angle control device and the display apparatus provided herein have a filter effect at a large viewing angle, improved light transmittance in the viewing angle direction, and excellent anti-peeping performance.

    Abstract: A view angle control structure and a display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus at least includes the view angle control structure, which includes first and second polarizing layers, first and second substrates and a polarization adjusting layer. The first and second polarizing layers are sequentially disposed on a transmission path of a light beam. The first and second substrates are sequentially disposed on the transmission path of the light beam and located between the first and second polarizing layers. At least one of the first and second substrates has a birefringence. The polarization adjusting layer is disposed on the transmission path of the light beam and located between the first and second substrates for changing a polarization state of the light beam according to an applied voltage. The view angle control structure and the display apparatus of the invention are excellent in anti-peeping effect, slimness and image quality.

    Abstract: An anti-peeping control device includes two polarizers and a liquid crystal box disposed between the two polarizers. An included angle of 5 to 15 degrees is formed between the axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers, or the axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers are parallel to each other but not parallel and not perpendicular to any side edge of the polarizer. The axial directions of the transmission axes of the two polarizers are perpendicular or parallel to the alignment direction of the alignment layer of the liquid crystal box. The anti-peeping control device can use an electronic control method to switch the anti-peeping effect. A backlight module and display using the anti-peeping control device are also proposed.

    Abstract: A display device, including a circuit substrate, a light-emitting layer, a quarter-wave plate, and a band-pass polarizing layer, is provided. The light-emitting layer is disposed on the circuit substrate and has light-emitting structures, which are electrically connected to the circuit substrate and include first light-emitting structures, which have a first main light-emitting wavelength. The quarter-wave plate is disposed in overlap with the light-emitting structures and is located between the band-pass polarizing layer and the light-emitting layer. The band-pass polarizing layer includes at least one first band-pass polarizing pattern, which have a first absorption axis. The first wavelength range is the first main light-emitting wavelength±10 nm.     Abstract: A display apparatus is provided, including at least one viewing angle limiting device, a display panel, and a light polarization converter disposed between the at least one viewing angle limiting device and the display panel. The light polarization converter includes first regions and second regions alternately arranged. Light beams passing through the first regions and the second regions respectively have a first light polarization direction and a second light polarization direction. The light polarization converter is overlapped with the at least one viewing angle limiting device and the display panel. The viewing angle limiting device includes light-absorbing molecules. The light-absorbing molecules have a first absorption coefficient in a thickness direction of the viewing angle limiting device and a second absorption coefficient in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction. A ratio of the first absorption coefficient to the second absorption coefficient is greater than 1.
