Abstract: A system for deploying network functions into target cloud environments in a cellular telecommunication network is cloud computing service provider agnostic. The system may use target environment agnostic GUIs to collect network function and IP address information for the deployment of the network function. The system populates a template for deploying the network function based on the network function and IP address information as well as the identity of the target environment. The system builds and deploys the network functions in the target environment based on the template.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for bridging data traffic between an underlay network and an overlay network within a wireless telecommunication network, such as a wireless 5G network. One such method including: providing access to an overlay network that includes virtual routers, wherein the overlay network is built above the underlay network, the underlay network including physical infrastructure that delivers packets; providing a UPFv that acts as an anchor for telephony voice functions; establishing routing protocols to transmit from the UPFv to one or more of the virtual routers; configuring one or more of the virtual routers to bridge an outgoing communication from the UPFv to a public cloud provider; instructing the virtual router to send the outgoing communication through the public cloud provider to the underlay network; and instructing the virtual router to receive an incoming communication from the underlay network through the public cloud provider to the UPFv.

Abstract: A mobile network operator may deploy a distributed network stack including, deploying a first cloud native function in a first public cloud and deploying a second cloud native function in a second public cloud. A system may provide a connected virtual private cloud. A system may deploy one or more virtual routers within the connected virtual private cloud. A system may connect the first public cloud and the second public cloud to the connected virtual private cloud using the one or more virtual routers in the connected virtual private cloud to form the overlay network. A system may transmit data traffic between the first cloud native function and the second cloud native function using the overlay network.

Abstract: Various arrangements of hybrid cloud cellular network systems are presented herein. A cellular radio access network (RAN) that includes multiple base stations (BSs) can be in communication with a cloud computing platform. Multiple cloud-implemented national data centers (NDCs) can be present and executed on the public cloud computing platform. Network functions (NFs) are executed within each cloud-implemented NDC on the public cloud computing platform. The system further includes a cellular network database function. An instance of the cellular network database function is executed within each cloud-implemented NDC on the public cloud computing platform and updates each other instance of the cellular network database function.

Abstract: Example embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for a fifth generation (5G) cloud-native wireless telecommunication network operated by a mobile network operator (MNO) implemented on a public cloud of a cloud computing service provider. Such a method may include the MNO operating telecommunication network functions (NFs) of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running within the public cloud. An indication may be received that one or more of the NFs of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running within the public cloud has a requirement to connect to another communication service provider (CSP) network different than the 5G cloud-native wireless telecommunication network operated by the MNO. Based on the indication, the system causes an autonomous system number (ASN) of the MNO to be used for network traffic from the one or more NFs to the other CSP network instead of an ASN of the cloud computing service providers.

Abstract: Example embodiments are directed towards overcoming limitations of a virtual private cloud (VPC) implemented on a public cloud in a cloud-native 5G wireless telecommunication network by overlaying a network of virtual routers (vRouters) across a software defined data center (SDDC) and virtual private cloud (VPC) in such a manner that enables telecommunication network traffic to communicate between one or more telecommunication NFs of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running on a cloud-native platform of the public cloud (e.g., may be workloads that exist in native AWS) and one or more other telecommunication network functions (NFs) of the 5G wireless telecommunication network running in the in the SDDC using the connected VPC (e.g., such as when using VMWare Cloud to implement the SDDC). The connected VPC is a private cloud existing within the public cloud 202 and the overlay network implemented by such vRouters operationally connects the VPC to the host public cloud and other public clouds.
