Abstract: A method for predicting disease is provided. The method includes generating biased analyte data by adding analyte sensor bias to historical analyte data, associating the biased analyte data with clinical disease diagnoses associated with the historical analyte data, and extracting features from the biased analyte data. The method further includes, for each model of a number of models, generating disease predictions based on different combinations of the features extracted from the biased analyte data, and evaluating the disease predictions based on the clinical disease diagnoses associated with the biased analyte data. The method further includes selecting a model and a combination of features based on a performance metric and a robustness metric.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for processing, transmitting, and displaying data received from continuous analyte sensor, such as a glucose sensor. In some embodiments, the continuous analyte sensor system comprises a sensor electronics module that includes power saving features. One feature includes a low power measurement circuit that can be switched between a measurement mode and a low power mode, in which charging circuitry continues to apply power to electrodes of a sensor during the low power mode. In addition, the sensor electronics module can be switched between in a low power storage mode higher power operational mode via a switch. The switch can include a reed switch or optical switch, for example. A validation routine can also be implemented to ensure an interrupt signal sent from the switch is valid. The continuous analyte sensor can be physically connected to a sensor electronics module, which is in direct wireless communication with a plurality of different display devices.

Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for continuous measurement of an analyte concentration. The device can include a sensor having a plurality of sensor elements, each having at least one characteristic that is different from other sensor(s) of the device. In some embodiments, the plurality of sensor elements are each tuned to measure a different range of analyte concentration, thereby providing the device with the capability of achieving a substantially consistent level of measurement accuracy across a physiologically relevant range. In other embodiments, the device includes a plurality of sensor elements each tuned to measure during different time periods after insertion or implantation, thereby providing the sensor with the capability to continuously and accurately measure analyte concentrations across a wide range of time periods. For example, a sensor system 180 is provided having a first working electrode 150 comprising a first sensor element 102 and a second working electrode 160 comprising a second sensor element 104, and a reference electrode 108 for providing a reference value for measuring the working electrode potential of the sensor elements 102, 104.
