Abstract:
Apparatus for delivering stents to body lumens include a flexible catheter shaft, an expandable member, a tubular prosthesis selectively movable in an axial direction over the expandable member, and a stop member disposed on the catheter shaft near the distal end of the catheter shaft for stopping the prosthesis at a deployment position on the expandable member. A variety of different stop members are provided according to various embodiments, such as stop members disposed outside the expandable member, stop members disposed inside the expandable member, movable stop members, and the like. Methods of delivering stents are also provided.
Abstract:
A wearable electronic device is configured to control and command a variety of wireless devices within its proximity. The wearable device dynamically generates a user interface corresponding to the services of a particular wireless device. Through the user interface, the wireless device surface content to a user and allows a user select interactions with the wireless devices using the wearable device.
Abstract:
A mobile electronic device for receiving and displaying information from a wireless signal transmission is provided. The device utilizes one or more mechanical and/or digital indicators for displaying the information. One embodiment of the invention provides a smart personal object, such as a watch device, for receiving and displaying wireless transmission information, wherein the object has a traditional style and look. The device is operable to convey received information using hands, sliders, dials, rings, disks, etc. and can be constructed in traditional high fidelity/quality.
Abstract:
A direct-fired steam generator used for supplying steam for re-hydrating dry crop during baling is controlled so as to produce a desired constant steam temperature output by collecting data from which the heat output of the steam generator can be calculated and using this calculation together with the difference between the actual steam temperature and the desired steam temperature to control the amount of process water sent to the steam generator in order to correct any error in steam temperature. Steam temperature is measured in either one of the steam injection manifolds or in an injection tube coupled to an injection manifold so as to be close to the point of application of the steam to the crop.
Abstract:
A user interface for small computing devices. The user interface includes a display screen and a bezel encircling the display screen. The bezel is adapted to move relative to the display screen in one or more axes. For example, the bezel may be rotated about the display screen, pivoted about a pivot point, or moved in a planar direction. A cursor displayed within the display screen is responsive to movement of the bezel.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods and apparatus of molding composite parts by liquid resin infusion. The invention involves the creation of temporary resin distribution channels on the surface of a preform to aid in the distribution of resin during infiltration. In general, these methods are improvements over the art because the molds are cheaper to make, the parts produced are of higher quality, minimal waste is produced and the time to infiltrate the preform is reduced.
Abstract:
The present invention is a nasal oxygen supply cannula and head support structure, having a tube with a proximal end connected to an oxygen supply and a distal end connected to a nosepiece having a one or more intra-nasal oxygen delivery output ports, a head support on the head of a patient, and a mechanism for securing the cannula to the cap.
Abstract:
A video user interface allows video content to be manipulated to accommodate user-interface (UI) navigation and to enable UI customization. The video-user interface incorporates video contents into a user interface, manipulates selected video contents to accommodate UI navigation, and makes the video contents interchangeable so as to enable UI customization. Special effects can be applied to transitions between keyframes associated with selected video content.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of providing pain management in a subject wherein the administration of the composition does not result in any non-central nervous system mediated systemic effect in the subject. In particular, the present invention relates to a method of administering 3-[(1S,2S)-3-(dimethylamino)-1-ethyl-2-methyl-propyl]-phenol in a space that is void of thrombocytes.
Abstract:
A cleaning system is provided for use with an operating fluid cooling system of an agricultural machine. The cleaning system includes an air plenum adapted to be attached to the cooling system. Fans provided for use in the cooling system exhaust air through the air plenum which has air outlets which direct air to individual mechanisms of the machine to blow away dust and debris from the mechanisms. Thus continuous cleaning of mechanisms during machine operation is enabled without the need for separate blowers, fans, or compressors and the expense and complexity associated therewith.
