Abstract: A receptacle connector includes an insulative housing having an upper wall and a lower wall with a plurality of vertical walls linked therebetween to form corresponding passageways alternately arranged with the vertical walls. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the corresponding passageways, respectively. A plurality of upper apertures are formed in the upper wall to communicate with the corresponding passageways. A plug connector is adapted to be mated with the receptacle connector and includes an insulative body with opposite top wall and bottom wall. A plurality of through openings are formed in the top wall. A plurality of grooves are formed in an interior face of the top wall to communicate the through openings of the plug connector with the corresponding apertures of the receptacle connector.

Abstract: A card edge connector includes an elongated insulative housing, a number of contacts retained in the insulative housing, and an ejector received in the insulating housing for locking with a memory card. The insulative housing includes a passageway and at least one tower portion extending upwardly from an end thereof. The tower portion has a two opposite side walls, and a middle wall located between two side walls. The ejector has a base portion defining a lower ejecting section, a locking portion defining a locking section, and a narrowed reinforcing portion formed between the base portion and the locking portion. The narrowed reinforcing portion being thinner than the base portion and the locking portion, and the middle wall has a narrowed slot communicating with the elongated passageway to permit the narrowed reinforcing portion to rotate inward to lower a height of the card edge connector.

Abstract: A card edge connector includes an insulative housing defining a front face, a rear face, and a card slot opening forward through the front face, a row of first terminals retained in the insulative housing from the front face, a row of second terminals retained in the insulative housing from the rear face, and a grounding and shielding plate. The row of second terminals includes signal terminals and grounding terminals, each second terminal including an upright portion, an elastic portion extending from the upright portion with a contacting portion exposed upon the card slot, and a leg portion. The grounding and shielding plate covers the rear face of the insulative housing and electrical connects to all the grounding terminals of the row of second terminals.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of upper contacts and a plurality of lower contacts disposed in the housing with a metallic shielding plate therebetween, and a metallic shielding shell enclosing the housing. The upper contacts have the signal contacts and the grounding contacts alternatively arranged with each other along a transverse direction. A plurality of wires are located behind the housing. Each of the wires includes an inner conductor mechanically and electrically connected to the corresponding signal contacts, and an outer braiding layer surrounding the inner conductor. A grounding bar is mechanically and electrically connected to all the shielding plate, the braiding layer, the grounding contacts and the shell.
