Abstract: A high-profile electrical connector includes a terminal module, a metallic shell and a metallic supporting member. The terminal module has an insulative housing and a plurality of conductive terminals. The insulative housing has a base portion provided with a mounting face and an insulative mating portion. The conductive terminals have contacting portions and connecting legs. The metallic shell shielding around the terminal module has a metallic mating portion surrounding around the insulative mating portion and a plurality of printed circuit board mounting legs. The metallic mating portion has a lower face which is higher than the mounting face. The metallic supporting member has a supporting plate used for supporting the lower face and at least a supporting leg extending downwardly. The supporting plate is higher than the mounting face so that the supporting plate is spaced from an upper surface of the printed circuit board.

Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a first terminal module, a second module and a shell. The first terminal module has a first insulator and a plurality of first terminals embedded in the first insulator. The first insulator has a first vertical portion, a first horizontal portion and a first tongue plate. The second terminal module has a second insulator and a plurality of second terminals embedded in the second insulator. The second insulator has a second vertical portion, a second horizontal portion and a second tongue plate. The second vertical portion and the second horizontal portion are separated from each other, and the second terminal connects the second vertical portion with the second horizontal portion.

Abstract: An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing with a plurality of ports, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing, a rear seat assembled to a rear side of the insulative housing and a metal shell covering the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a plurality of slots recessed from a rear surface thereof for retaining the contacts. The contact has a linking portion positioned in the rear sear and a mating portion bent from the linking portion and exposed in the port. The mating portions of the contacts in a same port are located in different heights, and at least one of the mating potions is inclined, so as to provide an inclined force to an inserted mating connector thereby reducing a pressing force to the inserted plug during engaging.
