    Abstract: This application provides example communication methods and a related apparatuses. An example communication method may be used for a first processing entity of a first communication device. The example method includes the first processing entity sending a first registration request to a second entity, where the first registration request includes a first identifier which indicates one or more of the following information of the first processing entity: model information or data information. A model parameter of the second entity can be adjusted based on a real-time environment parameter. The first processing entity receives a first registration response sent by the second entity, where the first registration response indicates an input parameter of the second entity. The first processing entity sends a first response acknowledgment, where the first response acknowledgment indicates whether an output parameter of the first processing entity matches the input parameter of the second entity.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for network coding with a retransmission scheme are described. A first packet intended for a first destination node and a second packet intended for a second destination node are obtained. An initial transmission of the first packet to the first and second destination nodes is performed, and an initial transmission of the second packet to the first and second destination nodes is performed. A retransmission to the first and the second destination nodes is performed, where performing the retransmission includes generating cross-packet coded bits using a combination of one or more bits from the first packet and one or more bits from the second packet, where the cross-packet coded bits are scrambled using an identifier known to both the first and second destination nodes, and where the cross-packet coded bits, after scrambling, are used for the retransmission.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to communication methods and apparatuses. In one example method, a first access network device determines configuration information, and sends the configuration information to a terminal. The first access network device is connected to a first core network device, and the first core network device uses a first or second communication standard. The configuration information includes status indication information of a first protocol layer (for example, a service data adaptation protocol (SDAP) layer) of the second communication standard, and the status indication information indicates the terminal to perform or not to perform a function of the first protocol layer. The first access network device determines a state of the first protocol layer based on a protocol layer specified in a communication standard of the core network device.
